- is this good enough to use as a desk? if so can you put wood stain on it?I made mine into a desk, works perfectly fine for it, just get the legs you want. Personally I didn't bother staining it as I don't think it needs it, however you could if you wished to. Bare in mind though that it's very dense wood so drilling pilot holes for screws is a must and can be more time consuming than you'd think.
