Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Grohe taps aren't cheap (in comparison with lots of other available products), but as an Engineer (Electrical) myself, I do appreciate the build quality and overall construction. We are in the process of a house refurbishment, and now have Grohe taps in our 3 bathrooms, and cloakroom. The kitchen and utility room are in progress of refurb, and again - Grohe taps (this model) in both.I was a little wary of the mechanism where you can release the the spout and pull out (flexible metallic hose) to direct jet (jet or spray) to a specific area - great for cleaning the sink without splashing water everywhere. This is the updated model, and the retractable nozzle is via a counterbalancing weight that allows easy in and out. The earlier version (of which is still being sold in many places, has a sprung assembly. I suspect this may be more likely to cause an issue a bit down the line, otherwise why would it be totally changed? So, make sure you check the model number! One slight downside with Grohe taps, although German, they have imperial connectors on the tails (always strikes me as being a little odd!), which is simple to overcome by using easily, and cheap adapters.Personally, I really like Grohe taps, they're very stylish (all of mine are polished stainless steel (bathrooms), with these bing "supersteel" - brushed steel is how I'd describe. Whilst I know not always quite the case, but generally you do get what you pay for! Highly recommended!
