Solid good looking pan set.I have to give this set of saucepans top marks.They are made from good quality stainless steel that is very easy to clean and are fully dishwasher proof.The knobs are cool enough to hold and the handles are strong and grippable.I have an induction hob and found that these pans are quicker to heat up than my last set of pans that were non stick.Nice non stick frying pan and handy non stick milk pan or in my case porridge pan.Love the glass lids and thick bases. I have been using these pans (a lot) over the last couple of months and am really satisfied with them. They have been through the dishwasher many times and had burnt on egg and chicken scrubbed off without any detriment to their appearance.I would like to add I wasn't the one who burnt the scrambled eggs or the chicken curry. I am an ace cook but someone else in the house isn't.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 October 2018not as good as our old set of Prestige pansFirstly, I have no issue with the induction (heating) properties of these pans or the non-stick surface of the frying pan. However, there are issues which have annoyed me over time. First, my old set of Prestige pans could be stacked with the lids inverted without sliding about because the lids used to slot in the rim solidly. Not with the new ones! They slide and slip about and topple over if you shut the drawer too quickly. Bad design regression there I think. Also, the stainless steel strip inserts on all the handles have come loose and fallen off one by one after repeated dishwasher actions. I had to drill and screw all of them back on because their insert latches no longer held them in place. Overall, my message to Prestige is that they have taken a step backwards in design and quality with these pans. The old set had to go after 20 years, not because there was anything wrong with them, but because they would not work on our new induction cooker.

I have contacted customer care services at Prestige over a week ago and up to now I have only had a reply talking about 2 damaged pans. My other emails have just been ignored by them. The one reply showed a link to their sales web page which doesn't even show my saucepan type. This web page is obviously their sales site as there are prices showing. All in all very poor support from Prestige.Update they cannot replace like for like only saucepans totally different to what we require, so warranty is useless.

And they are really non stick as I have found out when first trying them with my new induction hob. Very easy to clean. The 5 year guarantee is a great bonus.

However, the main thing you need them to do it help cook your food - they do that. They are tough and heavy (do be careful when you have boiling water in the two larger pots.) I would recommend them.

Keep losing half my food to these pans as its sticking to the pans. Even on the lowest of heats and constantly stirring:(Went for these as my grandma and mum had prestige pans and raved about them, I'm not joining that rave!

- Are the rivets steel or aluminium? Ive had issues with tefal pans with aluminium rivets which are not dishwasher proof.Rivets, like the main body of the pans are stainless steel too. Mine are in the dishwasher daily (including the frying pan) and have proven safe so far.
- Are the handles riveted on ? (Many saucepans have rivets on the inside of the pan, I prefer a clean finish.)Yes they are riveted on the inside All the best quality pans are The cheap ones have welded brackets thats why the come lose on the handles after a short time of use
- Do these pans have a lifetime guarantee?They only have a 5 year guarantee.
- What is the non stick coating? Is there any aluminium or Teflon?The saucepans are stainless steel with no coating but frying pan is Teflon coated. I hope that helps. The stainless steel is a higher iron content so they work on induction hobs: that's why we bought them as the old ones would not heat on the new induction hob due to not being magnetic metal due to the high chromium content.
