- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 November 2018Looks really goodReally pleased with how this fire looks especially for how much it cost. The room becomes lovely and warm quickly and the remote is easy to use you can change the temp of the heat and also there are different flame settings
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 October 2017Good value fireBought this to replace a faulty gas fire, it has a good visual effect and create a warm feeling around the room. Have tried the heat and it takes the chill off the room. A our central heating works fine we do not expect to use the heat option much but it is here as a back up. Cannot really fault the fire for the price.the level of noise when the heat setting is on is acceptable in my opinion , certainly quieter than many electric fires I have come across whilst staying in holiday accommodation.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 September 2021Does the jobWe bought this fire when we needed to replace our gas fire. It is efficient and I loved the remote control, but it wasn’t realistic enough for us - too much of a jump from the gas fire. I thought looking at the picture that the coals were individual as we were used to, but in fact they are one moulded section. The flame effect was good, but the moulded coals didn’t work for us.The company were very good about allowing us to return it so long as it was in perfect condition and packaging (it was). We paid slightly more and got an electric fire which had the option of individual coals or pebbles. I think we would have been happy with this if we weren’t coming from a gas fire.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 October 2017Good fire, good priceGood price, so far its working very well. The flame effect is very realistic and pleasant to have on even when the heater is off. The heater can be heard but it is like fairly quiet, more a gentle sound of air than a rattle or hum, I don't find it intrusive. The remote control is an excellent feature and being able to alter the temperature is a bonus. Good value for money.

Nice solid fire, easy to install. The variable flame is rather nice, though the coals are unrealistic. Although the remote is a useful addition, it is in fact also the thermostat control, so the fan won't stay on, it turns off when it reaches the setting. A nice, good value for money addition to make your room cosy, even without the heater on.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 January 2018electric inset fireIt looks fine, will fit the recess left by redundant gas fire, as it is an inset fire the cable could have been just a bit longer, only another foot or so and perhaps it would have been better if the cable came out the rear instead of side.In general it looks okay the fan noise for me was not excessive, generally this type of fire is a fan heater so some fan noise must be expected.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 November 2016Excellent fireWe bought this fire to replace a Dimplex Opti mist which only lasted 2years and can honestly say it's the best purchase we've made. it looks very real with the moving flames, the best we've seen and I would say to anyone looking for a fire, buy this one you won't regret it, also it was delivered the next day of ordering so thank you to Appliance Development Services Ltd.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 August 2020Lovely cosy fire, well worth the moneyI’m so impressed with this fire and think it’s great value for money. I was looking for something to fill the gap left by our previous gas back boiler and this fit perfectly. Some of these imitation fires can look a bit naff but this one looks really good. I love having the remote control and there are 3 choices of flame settings. It’s going to be so cosy in winter. Really pleased with my purchase and even more impressed that it turned up way earlier than expected.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 March 2018All in all, for the price, it's a great fire.I thought the remote would be a needless novelty in such a small room. I've been surprised at how convenient and useful it is. The fire warms up the room quite quickly - great whilst waiting for the central heating to warm up. I've not managed to get the thermostat to turn the fire/fan off though, regardless of the temperature set. So I've been setting the timer instead - which I've found useful for keeping track of electricity usage. It isn't the quietest fan but it couldn't be described as loud either. The flame effect isn't the most realistic but is good enough. Looks tidy and well built. Easy to clean. All in all, for the price, it's a great fire.
Customer questions and answers
- Is the flame effect generated through moving mechanical parts, or solid state electronics?Neither. Small, flammable hamsters run riot across the coals.

- Someone said the cable comes out of the side, where? Is this out of the back box?It does come out of the side. We had our fitted into the old fireplace recess then drilled a hole through the chimney breast to feed the wire through to an appropriate socket.
- Whats the inset demensions pleaseHi, By "inset" I presume you mean the part that sticks out at the back that would fit into an open fireplace, for example? Well allowing for some rounded screw heads that add to the dimensions these are the three measurements involved : Height (from floor level) is 560mm. Width is 405mm. Depth is 115mm. Hope that helps, Keith.
