- How firm are these on a scale of 1 (soft) to 10 (hard)?I think the pillows are probably around the 7 - 8 scale. They are quite firm and it took a little to get used to them. I prop them up for reading in bed but only need one for sleeping as this provides enough support for me. Trial and error I suppose but, personally, I am very happy with the pillows.
