- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 October 2017Good quality low priceWhile this item is genuine oak be aware that at this price you are not getting solid oak. Thin panels bonded to heavier edges are what you get, however though in fairness the drawer fronts are solid. As this is a fairly complicated self build a good level of competence is required but you will end up with a good looking sturdy unit with care . This is my second build and with a good waxing after construction this will look as good as any shop bought sideboard.

- What’s the finish on this would it be able to easily be stained?Its already varnished, I think to take a stain you would have to do some sanding down.
