Fair play to Amazon who refunded 10% (£14.62) as I said I would try to repair it rather than the hassle of a large item being returned in Covid times.... This oak console table is shoddily made and poorly finished. Screws hanging out here and there that all needed tightening... Where was the QA process with this one? It is fiddly to put it together, and this is how I discovered how poor and overpriced it was. If I where a customer reading this I would quite rightly look at something else. The makers of this need to have a good look at there QA processes and lower the asking price accordingly. Sorry Amazon. Poor. Added a star to Overall rating due to the helpful customer service rep who quickly sorted refund.

Also very easy to assemble and apart from a slight problem with one of the drawer runners which my husband quickly and easily sorted, was in perfect condition on delivery.It is the first thing you see when you walk into the hall and we are delighted with it's effect.

It is well-made and easy to assemble (you need to attach the legs, the lower shelf and the drawer handles). I chose this table because of all the clear pictures, the good reviews for it and for the seller, and I wasn't disappointed.

A one person task.The most fidgety bit was the lower shelf which required small screws in support brackets and a front leg screw made awkward by the drawer.Apart from that everything fits well and easily together.Nice colour good size looks great.Pleased with purchase.

- What is the length and width of the bottom shelfWe have one and the length is 780mm by depth of 270mm
- can the console table be used without the shelf and would there be enough leg room to sit at it for an average size personThe shelf is part of the construction, so I'd say no, and it's shallow, too shallow to give enough leg room for the average person. We bought it as a table for the hallway because it is shallow, but looks nice.
