The included hidden shelf support fixings are designed for masonry walls and are suitable for screwing into solid brick, stone, breeze block walls or plasterboard walls where you have located the timber studs - holding capacity up to 35kg (inc. shelf) between 2 brackets. - Hi i can i use my own brackets with these shelves? i don’t want floating shelves or can you suggest and alternative. thanks hayleyI'm not sure brackets would support these shelves. As far as I can remember these shelves weigh around 10kg each. You would need some very substantial/heavy weight brackets to support them. The metal rods that come supplied with the shelf fixes deep into the wall to support the weight. Hope this helps
