- How long is the wide board?the size of the short tier floating shelf is 6x6 inches， the size of the L shape shelf is 12 x 12 x 8.85 x 6 inch, please see the product pictures , it showes the about the size more clear.
- Is it solid wood that can be painted?It’s a very light (weight) wood and now have doubts about durability although suspect if primed it could be painted. Found quality and substance poor and it’s currently sat in our garage unused. Metal brackets will struggle to hold lower larger shelf securely.
- Is there room to put wire or a plug through so that a lamp can go on the shelf ?I would say not unless is very small lamp - the shelves are only about 120mm x 120mm - they are beautiful, I bought a small mosaic glass vase and put led lights in and they look perfect.
- Can i use these as shelf on top of a unit, rather than attached to a wall?No, they only become shelves when they are assembled to the wall using wall brackets.
