- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 January 2020Great value for our breakfast barA few screws to put in (wrench provided), and you are away - I'm a DIY disaster, and two of these were ready in 5 minutes. The height adjustment was perfect for our breakfast bar (which is higher than our other worktops since it actually doubles up as a bar that we can sit/stand and drink at).Very comfortable and surprisingly robust considering how light these stools are. The "twizzle" is a bit light, so you do need something to keep yourself straight if you use the foot-rests (i.e. elbow on the bar, pint in hand).Under the stand is like a plastic ring that protects the hard floor from scratching - which thus far have proved very effective. They had a fair bit of use over the Christmas period, and no marks on the floor whatsoever.Other places I shopped at were selling similar seats for £120 each, but bagged these for £60 for two!!!They look great, and clean very easily.Time will tell how long the seat covering will last, but so far so very good.

They are easy to assemble, comfortable and ideal for our purpose. I am not sure they would be robust enough for prolonged commercial use but we (and our grandchildren) love them. We are very pleased with our purchase and can happily recommend them for domestic use.Update March 2021. Still using them daily and they are still as a good as new. Good value purchase.

They swivel round, (if you're inclined want to swivel) don't scratch the floor & are comfy. The foot rest can be a tad uncomfortable when I'm resting my feet with just socks on, with slippers...no probs.I've only had them a week so time will tell regarding durability but so far so good. Yeah great addition.

I must say I was so delighted how simple they were to assemble, took me 5 minutes and they are so comfortable and look wonderful in my kitchen, also, they do not mark my cushionfloor flooring, like other stools have, I absolutely love them and would recommend them to anyone, I cannot fin one fault with them. They were inexpensive but look much more expensive than they were, an absolute bargain!!!!

It really did take only five minutes to unpack them and assemble and they look great and have s very strong feel to them. The height adjustment is very good and the foot rest is sturdy! Highly recommended! In addition the seller got them to me in good time.

Customer questions and answers
- Just put one of the stools together the handle supposed to be a gas thing doesn't work have I missed something?If you have set the stool up correctly i.e. with the small plastic cap on the stool bottom before attaching the seat, it should work o/k. Then if you lift lever without sitting on stool it should rise to full height, to reduce stool height simply sit on it and your weight will lower stool when you adjust the lever.
- what is the max height that these go to?The maximum height of the stool is approximately 84 cm when adjusting it.
- Do they work well on carpet?Well works for us on both carpet and floor.
- Does this hold upto a 31 stone person?Personally I wouldn't try these ones after a while of having them not as sturdy as they were as when we first got them
