The compact Selby Pushback Recliner Chair has been developed to the highest standards, providing strength, durability and supreme comfort.
The Selby is one of the latest recliners in our Premier collection offering unsurpassed comfort. This smaller sized chair is ideal when space is limited. It is upholstered in super soft Real Bonded Leather and is reclined using a Pushback Recliner Mechanism. It’s also combined with back support to enable you to sit upright with a correct posture or relax while taking a nap in the recliner for hours. The supportive seating gives comfort and support where it's needed the most.
Push Back Mechanism Functionality;
To operate the Pushback mechanism, place your hands on the armrests of the recliner; pushing forward on the arms and lean backwards using your bodyweight to recline the chair. The footrest will rise in unison with the back reclining. To return to the upright position, gently push the footrest down with your legs to lock it back into place.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 December 2020For the price - much better than I expectedI purchased this because of its compact size, I needed something small that I could use in my bedroom, this fits perfectly in to the space. Due to the material being bonded leather I assume that it will eventually peel so from day one I bought & covered it with a recliner slip-cover which will protect the material therefore making it more durable. I am 5'8 and although I could do with it being a little longer since my feet dangle over the edge a little too much I still find it comfortable when reclined. The recliner is very ergonomic considering the price, offers great support for my back and is very comfortable to sit in while watching TV for long hours. My qualms are: 1. When I went to put the recliner together I found the right hand panel slightly bent so took some strength & fiddling to slide it into position. 2. To recline to an almost lying down position you need to apply your weight to keep it down, would be better if you could lock it in to position, but it does lock in to the first reclined position. 3. I would prefer the recliner to be more deeper so that I could sink in to it but other than that it is a very good recliner considering the price. One last thing, due to covid it may depend on the person delivering it but the guy I had gave me no help whatsoever, didn't even lift it in to the front porch, just took a picture & left it outside the door, he was actually very rude in his demeanour, I said nothing & just took it in, luckily it was not too heavy for me, we have double front doors so I was able to open up my double doors (the box is huge by the way) and lift it in, then I opened it up downstairs and then carried the two pieces separately upstairs, so beware you may have to do the lifting yourself, failing that have someone on hand on the day of delivery to help you.

But Im young so elderly might need a hand....still easy to fitComfy and nice and compact as we have lack of space...Remember it its agaist a wall at the back you will have to move it forwards to sit with feet up but thats same with any one..I like it, for my dad...

- Could this recliner be fitted with castors?I wouldn't recommend it as you have to push down on the arms and lean back to recline it. Castors could make it unstable. It moves quite easily without castors
- Seat height?Pleased with the chair very comfortable and looks good would buy again. ample hight.
- Is it self assembly?Yes, very easy. Just comes in two pieces for the chair and then just screw on the feet.
- Do these chairs come ready made or do they need to be assembled ?Minimal assembly
