Barnsley Fabric Rise Recliner
The Barnsley Rise Recliner features a single motor mechanism and has been designed for those who need special assistance when standing up from being seated in a chair. Simple to operate, the two-button handset allows you to either rise or recline your chair at the touch of a button. The rise function will lift the chair to an almost standing position, while the recline function will allow you to adjust the chair to an almost sleeping position. This chair is easy to use and perfect for when you want to have a quick snooze.
The Barnsley has a soft fabric cover and a buttoned back cushion. With its supportive padding, this rise recliner offers superior comfort. Available in a range of neutral colours, the chair is suitable for a range of rooms and interior décor schemes. Due to the smooth rise and recline mechanism, this chair is ideal for people with mobility issues.
All of our Rise Recliners are supplied in two separate sections - the base and the backrest. This enables easy removal from the box and so you can transport within the home, navigating doorways and staircases. Once situated, the backrest simply clips into the rear section of the base to allow instant relaxation and comfort in your new chair.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 July 2021Not very well thought out designLeg support is to low, the back reclines too soon before the leg support is raised to it's inadequate maximum height. Arm rests are too short as when seat is slightly reclined your elbows rest on hard wood. Doesn't rise high enough.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 May 2021ease of useThis chair was purchased to aid someone who has lost their mobility and has to be moved around the home on a steedy. But the chair had to be altered in order to be able to use the steedy. It had to be raised by four and a half inches so the steedy could go underneath. The arms could do with being cut off at a sloop to allow for the seat wings to be deployed and removed when the person needs to be moved. As the person is likely to be sitting in this chair for a long time the seat needs to be lower so that a special cushion for reducing pressure sores can be fitted.

What a great quality chair. Love the material and colour and a ten for sturdiness. Totally recommend this if a rise and recline chair is what you are looking for.

My husband is just out of hospital and was having difficulty getting to a standing position from his original chair so this chair has helped him enormously. He finds it very comfortable and it was super easy to assemble

- Is the chair pre-assembled? If not how much assembly is required.Comes in 2 sections, seat and back. Back of chair has 2 metal brackets that slot into the 2 metal brackets in seat of chair. Can be fiddly but persist, easier with 2 people, connect wires, and it's done. Chair is comfortable, a good buy
