- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 July 2020Nice looking Shade and works fine with smart bulbs.Wasn't sure what to expect for the price. But very happy with it so far. Takes about 2 mins to unbox and assemble which is as simple as you turn a large ring to secure the shade to the base. Then you install the bulb. I tried a high end Phillips Color HUE bulb with it first and the glass shade makes some nice patterns but it doesn't feel perfect vs color effects bulbs. So next I used a vintage style LED warm white filament HUE bulb and it looks fantastic with the shade. HUE bulbs allow you to voice control the light with an ECHO so I can confirm the glass shade doesn't interfere with smart bulbs. So happy to recommend this lamp and I would pair it with any standard size E27 vintage style LED bulb. The quality of the base and shade is good for the price.

It is heavy enough that it doesn't get budged easily but not so heavy that its hard to lift and move when required.I recommend this lamp as its simple but pretty enough for decorating your home.

I'm using them in my bedroom and for the price they look pretty good, although I must admit you would probably know they weren't that expensive. The light from them is bright but muted enough to give a softer glow while still being able to read and they are just about the right weight so they wont get knocked over easily. Overall they are quite pretty but I did think they might throw some patterned shadows on the wall, oddly they do when the sun hits them but not with the light on. If I could change one thing, I would put the switch higher up the lead, its quite far down which can be annoying when you are in bed and have to lean down to get to the switch.

- What bulb does it requireI’ve got a smart bulb in mine but as long as it’s a screw bulb it’ll be fine. The lamp is absolutely brilliant. Definitely recommend it
- Material glass, plastic, crystal ? and where is metal or iron ?The actual frame is metal of some description and the shade is glass/Crystal I’m not completely sure as they were brought as a gift.
- What sort of bulb do i buy for this lampI originally bought Philips Corepro LED 8 W (60 W) A60, E27 Edison Screw, Bulb, Warm White, Non Dimmable, Frosted but this was a little too bright. The 40W variant, still exactly the same model of bulb from Philips works superbly - whether you buy the 60 W or 40 W version of the bulb depends on your own lighting needs.
- Is this lamp bright enough to read with ?Yes definitely. I read every night using 1 The lights are beautiful and I’d 100% recommend
