  Clever, cute non-touch bedside lamp.

  This is an attractive, clever, rather futuristic little lamp.It’s attractive in the gold metallic finish and the rather quirky design.It is good that it is rechargeable because it means you can have it on the bedside table without having the cable hanging around t getting in the way.The touch-free control is really clever and quite fun. You have a small on-of switch on the base but once this is switched on, you turn the light on and off by just passing your hand over the lamp and, by hovering your hand over it, the light cycles brighter and dimmer and you just take your hand away when it’s at the level you want.All a bit space age, clever and fun, albeit a bit on the expensive side.

  Rechargeable dimmable infrared sensing light

  So the description states this is a:-Bedside lamp, 2000mAh USB rechargeable mushroom LED cordless portable table lamp. 4-step dimmable infrared sensing night light - Nickel - Infrared Sensing.There is a main fixed power button on the bottom of the lamp.Its then all worked by touch, on off and brightness. There is a added bonus that when the lamp has not sensed movement for over 20 minutes, lamp will go into sleep mode, hold your hand 2cm from the top for 2-3 seconds to wake the light back up.Also that it remembers the last brightness setting you had it on.So if you got it in dim at night because your judt useing it as a night light. The next time it's not going to come on at full brightness to starkle you. No one wants that to happen.Be the way the little ones will think is a fab magic trick and will want to have a play around turning it on and off and up n down. Lol.One way of keeping them quiet for a bit I suppose.Its rechargeable with a C.Type connection cable.   Gesture control lamp

  I love the look of this lamp, it's definitely not your typical bedroom lamp but it works so perfectly in our new (almost complete) bedroom.It has a really cool modern look on the bedside locker. It's small in size so it doesn't take up too much room on your locker, or wherever you may place it. But with the small size its really impressive with the light it gives off.I love that it is a motion detection/gesture control function to turn the light on or off. Yu simply just wave your hand about an inch away from the infrared sensor. You can also adjust the brightness of the light by keeping your hand the same distance from the sensor and it adjusts to your liking.The light can be connected/plugged in via a USB connection to charge - with a full charge it will last around 9hours on full brightness.It has a really cool function where it remembers the setting you had previously selected so there is no need to change to your desired brightness each time.I love the glow it gives and it's perfect for turning on in the night, you got get blinded by a glaring light. This is definitely a more gentle way to wake up.It would also work great as a night light for kids as the glow is so nice but my daughter already has her fairy lights so I'm definitely keeping this sleek lamp for my room!!Another feature I love is that it's cordless, so no messy cords dangling off your locker. Perfect if you don't have a plug socket near your bed!I'll probably pick up a couple more of these as they would look really cool on bookshelves in our study.

  Control with a hand 20mm above the dome

  You can charge this lamp to use in the evening where there isnt a plug.I like that ideaIT makes having a lamp beside the bed possible if you dont have an electrical outlet right next to your bed.Its 5 1/2" tall at the most and 5 1/2" in diameter at the base.From Empty it takes 3 hours to charge.The battery capacity is 2000mahIt lasts 9 hours once fully charged on brightest settingYou turn it on with a wave of your hand after switching the power button to on , on the bottom.There are no colour changes but the dimming function works really smoothly.Colour of light is a warm whiteThis is a soft light. ITs cosy and friendly and you can see to move around a room or tent.Right beside your bed, its enough for one person to read by(shadows),in the middle of the table in a tent , more could read.The half sphere at top is not the reflector, it holds the bulb with a white diffuser covering its flat surface.Light shines down and the metal of the lamp is all that spreads it.It reminds me of a little oil lamp in its design because of the dome shapes and the downward /outward manner with which the beam shinesComes with a usb c to USB A cable, no transformer. Charges from 5v 2ARuns at 1wThe instructions say to hold your hand 20cm above for on and off and hold it there for dimming.This is an typo I believe.At first try at 20cm, it did turn on and a frustrating waving and hovering did nothing.Eventually I wondered if CM should have been MM and tried it with my hand about an inch away and voila, that is how to do it.It works flawlessly once you think in mm distance, not cm.This would be useful for a night light for people wi dont like the total darkness, as it is a friendly golden colour when dimmed, not a blue light to keep people awake and it will last all night easily when in that dim mode.Its stable so could be taken camping and definitely wont burn your tent down.Love the metallic 1950s 'futuristic' style of it

  Attractive, sculptural rechargeable light

  I really like this light. It’s attractive and unusual in design, and subtle in its light output (even on the highest brightness setting). The light is an LED built in to the brushed brass dome cap, with a diffuser over it. The light output is warm white and bounces back from the brushed metal base and bell clapper-style centre piece to gently increase the effect of the light output.Per the retail box (the light came double-doxed in a manufacturer shipper with a retail carton beneath it) the light is named ‘Jingle’ and with this in mind the sculptural design makes a lot of sense – it’s a kind of deconstructed bell. The on/off switch for this works by moving your hand quickly over and away from the sensor, whilst the dimmer works by simply holding your hand in place over the sensor. Your hand has to be really close to the sensor (a small square in the top of the central dome) to be effective. Within at most a couple of cm. Whatever brightness setting you have this on when it’s switched off, the light remembers your setting and turns back on at that level.Not hugely bright on any setting, but a useful, portable, ambient light that not only looks nice, but could help to work round a shortage of plug sockets, power cuts, and bring light to off-grid outdoor areas/buildings.

  Cool idea for a gift for someone who likes gadgets

  The media could not be loaded. I was really intrigued by the idea of this lamp, so I was looking forward to trying it. There are two colour options to choose from: Gold and Nickel, and as much as I am allergic to nickel jewellery, the gold colour does not suit my decor, so I still chose this option. The lamp is currently at the price of £31.95 (with a 5% off voucher), including next day quick delivery and 30 days returns if anything goes wrong with the product.The lamp comes in a nicely designed box, which could be a great idea for a gift for bday or Xmas - especially to someone who likes gadgets.The great thing about this lamp is that it is rechargeable, and the cable for that is easily replaceable if it gets lost or damaged by accident.Once the lamp is fully charged, there is a switch at the bottom to switch the lamp on and off - from there, you can use it. To switch the light on, you just need to wave your hand over it, and in order to dim it, you need to hold it for a few seconds over the sensor and then hoover your hand up and down slowly to dim it or to make it brighter. Once you choose the brightness level, it will stay like this until you decide to change it.Now the sensor works but not as well as it should as sometimes it just turns out rather than dim it.Overall it is a cool gadget to have or to give to someone that looks pretty modern, and even I would say ominous, but if I would be paying over £30 for it, I wish the sensor would work a bit better.

  Clever little lamp light

  So this is a clever little lamp that can be turned on, off, or dimmed, by a wave of the hand.Charge it using the USB-C cable included, and then simply wave your hand across the top to switch it on. Sweep your hand across the top again turn it off. Hold your hand over the top while it is on, and the light will slowly dim, and take your hand away when you reach the desired brightness and it will stay at that level of illumination.The biggest issue for me is the white is just not… we’ll… Stylish. It’s just a bit, well, that. It’s a mushroom type dome that is just not very desirable. Don’t get me wrong, this is your kind of thing it won’t work well but it’s hard to look at this light and love it. Personally, if it was produced in say a copper or brass finish, bang a temperature dial, clock or a barometer on the side, it could’ve had a steam punk type vibe to it, but as it is it’s just okay. It’s hard to recommend when it’s just so darn…..boring?Maybe I’m hard to please, but once you take away the cool gadgety way of turning it on and off, there are far more attractive lights out there to be had. I want to love it, but it’s just OK

  An attractive low-level warm white mood light – not practical enough for much else

  I'm in two minds about this rather stylish night-light by Tubicen – it seems a bit over the top to use by a kid's bedside but it isn't really practical enough to use as a light elsewhere. The lamp is a novel design and looks very arty – quite a talking point when on display – but the light is not very bright, even at maximum, and the colour temperature is very warm white. The lamp is undoubtedly well made and comes very nicely presented, but at around thirty-four pounds currently from Amazon I'm not really sure where the market is – too expensive for the kid's bedroom and not bright enough to be useful elsewhere. Having said that, I do actually quite like this stylish design and it works quite well as a display piece – however, the sensor is very temperamental and sometimes needs to be physically tapped to get it to do anything. As a low-level evening mood light this warm white rechargeable lamp works quite well and for looks it deserves four stars – look elsewhere for the kid's night-light.

  Simply love this lamp

  The design of this lamp is such that direct light (from lamp) won't get into your eyes. So when you turn it on in the middle of the night, you won't be squinting. I charged it to 100%, the indicator light turns green when fully charged. And you can use it while it is getting charged. The charging point is USB C which latest phones/tablets/laptops use. Turning on/off is quite fun, infrared sensor catches the movement of your hand. Sometimes it misses, which I think is mostly because either I am too close or far from it. It could even detect my finger.The colour of lamp is golden and I love the design. It now sits on my bedside table. I used it last night for while reading, it was bright for me to read but not over bright to disturb anyone else.At £35.99, one would say it is costly but I would say it is worth the fun and is brilliant idea and execution.

  Looks great and really cool hand motion control

  My daughter loves this bedside lamp which has a quirky design and awesome hand motion controls.It's possibly expensive for what it is but it really does work well and looks great. It's got the look of a mystical old fashioned lantern but really great modern design. It's rechargeable via the USB cable provided, just plug it into your usual phone charger or modern USB plug socket and you'll get a few hours charge out of it.It's perfect for a kid's bedside light as it's not overly bright but enough for them to see in the dark and the easy swipe hand motion to turn it on and off is really easy for them to use in the dark.You can twist your hand clockwise or counter clockwise to adjust the brightness which for my kids is incredibly exciting and they love messing with it pretending they have jedi powers!
