- Can laptop monitor light be working when computer is closed?I doubt it unless you have a powered usb hub to power it. Most laptops cut power to built in usb when turned off.
- Is it bright enough to light up your desk area. I don't want to waste space buying a desk lamp. Is this a suitable replacement?This is a very bright lamp but clips onto a monitor, you cannot adjust the way it mounts, whereas you can really focus light with a desk lamp, and as my desk is black not oak or white in colour it is always dark. The lamp will focus the light and has adjustable settings but the USB connecting wire is not long.
- Screen Light bar can it be turned to aim at key board more ?Yes it absolutely can. The light bar swivels through 90 degrees. You can even turn it to shine directly into your face, if you so desire. It only turns horizontally - it does noes rotate. Just steady the clamp with one hand and then gently adjust to a position of you liking.
- Can this be left on the laptop when it is closed?As it clips onto the top of the laptop you have to remove it when closing the laptop --- unless you keep the laptop in an unfolded state.
