Returned it very easily via amazon for a credit note and bought another one. Its OK. Not sure its meant to turn on by touching it anywhere (I'm sure it's just meant to be the base?) but atleast it works this time round

Yeh kinda value for money but mine arrived with a scratch. Hate returning things, so will keep. The usb 2 ports are amazing I can charge my phone and iPad at night together without worrying about plugs.
