These lamps emit a beautiful soft glow, and are a real talking point. They're not sufficient to light a room, but I have mine in my hallway. It's certainly light enough to see, and is far more gentle than leaving a harsh hall light on permanently in the evenings. Wonderful lamp. Highly recommended. Just wish I had more places that I could put them!

I used a long life lamp in it, 7W and it gives off a lovely cozy effect in my hall. I know in the winter when the days are dark this lamp is going to look cheerful and give my hall an envying look. I am going to order another one in a different colour for my lounge.
