This red paper table lamp consists of three lanterns covered with hanji shades in the shape of large fruit, encircled by a large ring. The branch below which the three lanterns hang is connected to a power source through a flexible cord that can be bent according to the user's need. The frame and base of the lamp is also made of hanji and is dyed with a natural pigment giving it a wooden color. There is a touch switch under the lamp so that the user can choose from three levels of brightness. Produced after an arduous, time-consuming manufacturing process made only by hand, hanji, Korean mulberry paper, is an amazingly durable and versatile material for all kinds of arts and crafts. When used for a lampshade, hanji helps produce a beautiful, long-lasting lighting accessory for the home, radiating soft and comforting natural light to soothe the body and mind, tired from busy urban life.

The colours of the light shades are so pretty, creating a soft warm glow. Everyone that has seen it has remarked about it in a positive way.The whole lamp is very light in weight due to the papier mâché but a totally sturdy item all around, and not one person has thought it was anything other than wood, so perfect. It was nice to find that I didnt need to have a UK plug adapter as it comes already fitted for the UK.I`ve added a picture of it in my room so that you can see. I really think I need some more of them, really beautiful and rather special. Thanks.

- The shades look orange in the picture, are they a true red?Definately more red than in the picture
- What is the ring made from?It's made from Korean mulberry paper.
- what bulbs do the rice paper ball lights takeI think it was E14 sockets. But we've thrown the lamp away now: it was not at all as nice as expected (basically entirely made from rice paper, not sturdy at all), and all three lamps soon started to flicker and one after the other shut off. Worthless - do not buy.
