The wood pieces were all in good condition. Instructions were simple enough. All set up, it feels pretty sturdy, and bottom-heavy (the lamp portion is very lightweight, and the bottom shelf is pretty weighty). It's a very nice piece that doesn't dominate the room. The lampshades are thick enough that it isn't like staring into the sun when turned on, which is perfect.
