- Hi, is this lamp suitable for someone with macular degeneration? Looking for a lamp for someone who's partially sighted.I brought this for my mother and myself who both have reduced vision and it's excellent. It doesn't seem to give out alot of light but is a daylight bulb so it's a clear light to see with. I had a lamp previously with 3 x halogen bulbs and this is by far much better . Hope this helps.
