    This'll blow your wig off!!!!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 June 2021
Fitted this in our loft bedroom, to replace one that we've had for 20 years. It was easy to fit as we were able to use the holes in the ceiling that were already there, but if you have no holes to use, make sure you screw this into a ceiling beam as it is a heavy beast and I would use longer screws than the ones they provide. Once fitted it worked fine, Remote Control was definitely useful and it worked from anywhere in the room. However, when we turned the fam on, WOW!!!! The downforce this fan produces is amazing and what made it worse was the fact that it was a low ceiling. We can't use either of the two faster speeds, their just too fierce. Perhaps if the ceiling was higher it would have been OK. The light from it was OK. a bit directional ar the light bowl faced downwards so therr wasn't much light thrown to the sides. I fitted 2 x 7 watt LED candle bulbs, but you have to be careful what shape of bulbs you use. Normal size bulbs won't fit.Unfortunately, we ar going to have to send it back to Amazon, as it just not suitable for us. Its a chunky, heavy beast and I have no complaints about the quality, but its just not for us.

    Good price but BEWARE
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2020
Listen, its a fan. Its a chunky monkey, heavy. Well made except, when I installed it and I have done a fair few, the described methodology will work but. Fixing to a ceiling and its wooden joists above use your own wood screws, self drilling type and flat washer it up to prevent the ceiling plate from buckling. The ones supplied will only screw in so far unless you use a pilot drill and then it could split the timber. Then when you hang the main fan unit on the hook provided in the ceiling fixing plate... BEWARE. The hook couldn't hold the fan unit up and it broke away allowing the fan to fall. It was by luck that I caught it before it fell and smashed up. Being an engineer I was able to refix the hook to the ceiling plate. Then its easy to plug it all together and install the remote control unit. Works well. Some say noisy but it's a fan moving air so no more than you'd expect. BE AWARE. This does not come with bulbs for the lighting unit, they are available from all good DIY stores.

    A very nice ceiling fan
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 September 2019
This is a very nice ceiling fan albeit the size takes a bit of getting used to for a bedroom, but can’t blame the manufacturer for that. The fan is really quiet especially on the first setting, after that it’s generally only wind noise. Relatively easy to install for competent DIYs, supplied instructions very clear and the preformed electrical connections make it installation easy. The fixings for the base plate need to be screwed into the roof beams to be able to support the more than 5kg weight of the unit. Minor niggles only: a bit mean not to include two light bulbs and the remote just looks a bit crude (in my opinion).

Great Quality and easy to Fit
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 April 2021
Headline says it all really, we have 5 fans in our house and this is by far the best. I was initially worried because of the relatively short blades but the movement of air is more than satisfactory even on the lowest setting. IMHO, the design looks much nicer without the thin shaft from the ceiling rose. I was so pleased with it I bought a second, Excellent price too for this quality.

    Works great. Larger than expected.

Love how it works. Quiet. Remote is great. Cools 11ftx 11ft room easily. Only wish is that the base was not as long as 35cm. It looks massive. If it was half that size it would be perfect.

    Great fan for a bedroom

It is bigger than I thought it would be! However, with the larger motor, it runs very quietly. I'd recommend this product

  • The fan motor hums quite loudly even on the lowest setting; is this normal or is my fan faulty ?

I have two of these ceiling fans and after a few weeks of use after installation both fans seemed a little noisier than when first installed. I managed to eliminate this by tightening up the base plate, placing cross pieces between the roof beams and using four screws to fix the base plate. You can check this by putting a folded paper wedge in any gap in the base plate on your existing installation. Hope this helps. see less
  • Does it take two bulbs each equivalent to 60w standard bulb? Or total up to 60w?
It takes two 60W bulbs. I believe they are the small fan bulbs but can't be certain.
  • How do I get the fan to turn clockwise ?
There is a switch on the fan 180 deg to the remote sensor that changes the direction
