  NIce difuse light in my garage!

  I would have preferred LED versions of conventional fluorescent light fittings, but they tend to be very expensive and not very bright. These panels have a reasonable output, each giving a little less than a 58W tube but they do give a very effective diffuse light. The tradeoff is that they take up more room than the equivalent linear fluorescent. I have mounted them in my garage in a rigid wooden frame with a lip to simulate their intended ceiling grid fixing. The wooden frame is fixed securely to the rafters. I love the colour temperature which is close to middling daylight. My garage now has lots of light for me to work on my car.

  Cheap But No Good For Use On Video Calls

  Bought this to provide some diffuse lighting when making video calls. Unit is very bright, the colour temperature is high so lighting is very white and provided the correct amount of light. BUT when using it on a video call for the first time I noticed that my camera image had interference lines running through it that I had not experienced before. The other people on the same link could see this interference too. LEDs require a DC supply and I suspected that the power supply to the light was not properly smoothed. So it proved. Superimposed on the 40 volt DC output is a 100Hz AC component about 4 volts peak to peak which means that the DC voltage varies between 38 volts ad 42 volts. This means that the brightness of the light varies very slightly 100 times per second, although this cannot be seen by the naked eye. The image on a computer screen is refreshed usually about 60 times per second (although this can vary) and so this detects the variation in the light output, causing interference because the rates of change are not the same and and or not synchronised. Alternatively, the image scan rate on the built in camera on my monitor is interfering with the light. I dramatically improved the smoothing on the power supply (and the camera image) by connecting a high value capacitor across the output, but the truth is that the power supply supplied with the lighting panel is cheap and nasty, If you were planning on using the unit in a similar situation, think again.

  Very happy with the brightness

  This has been a worthwhile purchase, brightness is great and it's ultimately exactly what I was hoping for. The level of diffusion is impressive. I ordered just the one to see what it was like but will likely be ordering again.The only complaint I have is that the seller's packaging was flimsy, thin cardboard, and the panel arrived twisted out of shape, I hope I can correct for that with some gentle persuasion and that's the only reason I've not gone through the hassle of arranging an exchange.

  Cheap to use

  These are brilliant.Very easy to install and have given my workshop a whole new lease of life.I have 4 of these fitted and I have them hanging from the ceiling (High ceiling), the light given off is superb, no glare, not blinding and a heck of a lot cheaper to use than the tube lights I had fitted before.No more dark corners or shadows cast and I can now see without any issues.Great light fittings.

  Have had similar produce before from a different source. This one is cheaper, thinner and lighter have already ORDERED MORE!!

  Excellent lighting

  I have similar units installed in my kitchen and the light they produce is excellent and do not cast shadows,so I have used this product in my workshop, really good even lighting. Would highly recommend

  Good product - nice and bright. Light weight. Good daylight match.Had a few replacements due to damage in transit but seller was responsive and dealt with the issues.

  The light produces not a cool white light, it produces a warm white light.And light output is less.The light unit is very low qualityand not strong enough.
