- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 January 2021Longer part needed for 40mm worktopI did a naughty thing and put it through a worktop! You shouldn't really because if water gets in, the top could blister but the sink we wanted dictated that we must and it's not a heavily used sink/area. I applied clear anti-mould silicone around the washers and this should be okay for a couple of years. It's super tight and feels solid, comes with what you need, the only thing I had to buy were two isolation valves (because the previous tap didn't have them on the pipework below) and most importantly I had to buy a longer threaded pipe (80mm, comes with 60mm) because the worktop is 40mm and it's designed to be fitted to a thin metal sink with tap hole etc. It says max ideal pressure is 1bar, we have 3bar and it seems okay.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 September 2020Excellent tap for the price, would totally recommendFabulous tap I'm very impressed for the price the main body feels very solid and well made the tap head although feels less sturdy but I suspect will do the job just fine, it was a pain to install but that had nothing to do with the tap itself just poor planning on my part having never fitted a tap myself before... I had to drill out a new hole for the tap as it was larger than my previous single faucet taps and I also had to reconfigure my existing pipe work as it wasn't compatible with my fittings (totally not the fault of the product as it will clearly fit most standard layouts I'm sure) as a previous buyer said it comes with 1/2inch pipe connectors with a female end which I had no trouble fitting onto 15mm connectors from my local ironmongers all in all it was a steal for the price and I highly rate it

It's just gets tricky if the supplied parts don't work for you since they aren't standard UK spec.The threaded pipe that goes through your worktop is just 6cm long. So, as another reviewer noted, if you're fitting to a 4cm thick worktop, the supplied part won't work. That reviewer found a replacement 8cm long threaded pipe. I haven't managed to find one. I had throught I could just get a 1 inch nut to screw onto the pipe but the thread on the pipe isn't UK standard. So that didn't work either.If the fitting worked for me I'd be giving the tap a 5 star review. But they don't and it's a bit of a pain!At the moment it looks like I'll fit it without the foot at the base of the tap, in order to use the supplied fittings.

Plumber says is the poor quality of the rubber 'O' ring. Struggling to find replacements.

We also have very low water pressure, but somehow this tap makes it like we have high pressure. Well impressed with it!

Ie water tank connected to hot water cylinder. This tap designed for pressure system ie combi boiler system

- Can this be used for an outdoor kitchen (i.e. in the garden)We purchased ours for our utility room but it's stainless steel so maybe it will be ok for outside.
- Is the no rubber seal that goes between the round circular base and the tap?there is some sort of seal there
- Can the lever be positioned at the front of the tap instead of the side?Yes it can. before tightening any of the fitting to fit the tap, position the lever in the desired position and then tighten the fittings under the sink to keep the tap in place.
