Customer Review
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 February 2018Super Looking, Super Sharp....Super Zelite InfinityI bought the Alpha Royal Series as I already have the Japanese version of these knives and have used them for about a year (they are still super sharp and a pleasure to use) and my mother had been going on about how excellent they were, so I thought I'd buy them as a gift. I was however curious to know if there was any difference in quality between to two different sets so decided to use them before I gave them to my mother. The range of photographs attached show the variety of foods that was prepared using the set.Firstly, the Knives arrived in quality packaging. I was particularly impressed, once opened, with the pouch that the knives were in, the pouch is a great addition as it now gives you the option of storing the knives in a draw if you are unable to have them on show, they also provide good protection to the blades. The knives themselves are super sharp and you need to be extra careful when you first use them and remove them from the pouch. I cut my finger despite expecting them to be this sharp from prior experience with the Japanese versions! The knives look very classy both individually and as a set and would look great in any type of kitchen. They are very well balanced and easy to use and don't feel overly heavy in the hand. They sliced through whatever food was being prepared with ease and all done their jobs with extreme ease. These are on a par with Zelites previous range as they continue to produce outstanding quality knives whether for the occasional chef or the more hard-core ones. Either way they are a definite plus for any kitchen and I can't recommend them highly enough. Now the big question for me….. "Do I keep these and give mother my Japanese ones"!! I don't think I would notice the difference either way!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 March 2018Brillliant!!!Bought three of these together. The 10" Chef knife and the 6" and 4". I've used a lot of knives over the years, Gustav, Sabatier, Global to name a few. These leave them all standing in the dust!! They are incredibly sharp, very comfortable to grip and beautifully presented (mine still live in the boxes!)Would absolutely recommend to anyone who want s a good set of knives!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 July 2021Proper German steel at a stealYour browser does not support HTML5 video. what more can I say, this knife is built to a high quality using premium German steel. The handle is not perfect but is not something that bothers me too much unless I'm quite picky. See video for explanation. Not as well known as Wusthof or Dalstrong but Zelite's mid range knife has set a good example for what to expect from their knives. You can even save nearly £15 by going for the Comfort Pro version which is nearly the same (handle is different). If you want a good knife, made of quality steel that won't cost you an arm and a leg, I'd give this a go.Overall, at this price point, I don't think you can get anything better unless you go for an even less known company who is trying to enter the market with cheap, quality products.I really wanted to give this the 5th star but the handle takes away from the knife's perfection.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 December 2019Extremely bad productYour browser does not support HTML5 video. I have bought this expensive knife just 9days ago. The knife is already start getting rust which means it’s made of some cheap steel. Then I thought it’s fine but the knife doesn’t even cut a tomato you can see that in my video. How come an expensive knife blade become like this in 9 days of very light use. I have used this knife only 8 times in last 9days to cut only vegetables. I won’t recommend this to any one never again. My £5 Argos knife is 3x better than this.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 February 2019Amazing Quality Kitchen KnifeI made the mistake of giving my favourite paring knife to my son for him to use at University ..... then realised how much I liked it! I had a few other very good quality paring knives, but much preferred the shape & feel of the old one, so set out on a mission to find a similar replacement. The Zelite Infinity paring knife is amazing. Excellent shape and feel, combined with brilliant performance ..... I no longer miss my old faithful! It is also better than other paring knifes I own that cost considerably more.I don’t usually write lengthy reviews, but Zelite Infinity deserve it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 April 2018Great price, decent steel, but wasn't razor sharp.Crazy value for money for what I paid for it, in my opinion. A Wüsthof would set you back a lot more for not that much less. The steel seems nice, but doesn't hold an edge as long as my Wüsthof Classic Ikon does. One complaint, I guess, is that the knife didn't come as sharp as a more expensive, earlier Zelite utility knife that I bought (the ones that come in the white box and have no sheathe) - I found that I had to sharpen the knife before use, whereas my previous Zelite was shaving-sharp out of the box. I guess you get more when you pay more - that was certainly my experience.Would give it 4 stars as a Zelite product, as I've had better, but I'll give 5 because for the price I paid it's great.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 February 2018Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful Knives.Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful Knives. I had deliberated for some time about buying these. They were a little expensive for my budget (even with the Amazon discount) but they are so worth it. The presentation is wonderful, so much so that I still put them back in their boxes after use. Each comes with a well made leather sheaf and as you remove the knife from it's sheaf you immediately know you've made the right decision. Perfectly weighted and balanced and as sharp as a razor. They cut through raw meat and you need to only apply the slightest of pressure and it is a complete joy. Please remember to respect these knives when using and washing them as I've said they are incredibly sharp. I learned the hard way LOLI bought the 6 inch and 10 together and then bought the 4 inch.Simply put I love them
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 May 2020DisappointingThe presentation and the description of this item is fantastic, in reality disappointing, The Handle, the rivets and the top edge of the pakka wood handle felt rough to the touch and the handle felt to small, it did not feel like a hand crafted item, the blade was good, the quality of the sheath good, the knife is not secure in the sheath, and can be easily pulled from the sheath without unclipping the securing strap, I thought I was buying German quality, NO, PRC.

Apart from the detergents used not being particularly friendly to carbon steels, there is a risk the high force water jets could dislodge the knife causing it to hit other objects damaging the very fine edge and potentially also damaging the dishwasher carry basket exposing bare metal on the basket which would rust over time if unchecked. We recommend hand washing in warm soapy water, rinsing in fresh water then towel drying to keep your knives in tip-top condition. This advice also applies to all other brands of high end kitchen knives. Hope this helps see less

You should hone your knife regular – maybe every 6-8hrs worth of use and this will ensure it keeps its sharp edge. Honing only removes the microscopic burr that it put on your edge after general use – it does not remove metal, only removes the burr and realigns the edge. For honing steels, you will want one with a 10” or longer rod and with a hardness greater than your knife which is 56 Rockwell. Ceramic Honing rods are popular as here you don’t need to worry about hardness and work very well with our knives (Wusthof fine grit ceramic honing rod works very well). Sharpening depends upon your skill level with using a whetstone. If you are confident using a whetstone, then we recommend the King 1000/6000 whetstone – this is very popular. A lot of our customers prefer to send their knives to a local sharpener if they are not as confident using a whetstone. I have not used this one myself, but I got feedback from other customers that the Yaxell water sharpener works quite well with our knives – here is the link below: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yaxell-Knife-sharpener-GOUSHARP-PRO/dp/B005EVNXDQ/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1503480108&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=yaxell+water General good tips are to cut on blade friendly materials such as wood, bamboo or plastic. Surfaces such as stone, glass or ceramic would quicken the dulling process and potentially damage the very fine edge of the blade see less
