Really disappointed!I recently bought the 8 inch chef's knife and I have used it only twice so far. I went for this brand as it was providing a case for the knife compared to the other similar price point knives on Amazon. It is a heavy, sturdy and easy to hold knife at first glance.The issue with it is that after dicing only a medium onion on a plastic cutting board it went completely dull. I sharpened it using a sharpening tool I bought from amazon and used it to cut 3 chicken breast fillets. Even after the first one I could feel the knife becoming dull again.Also, the blade is really thin even at the top part of the knife (I don't know if this is good or bad).I don't know what is wrong with it as I am not a professional, but my £6 chef's knife can stay sharp for much longer.To sum everything up I am really disappointed and I would not recommend.

First of all I was wowed by the packaging and thought put into the knife arriving safely with me. It even comes with its own blade guard/sheath with a locking pin for safety- which is ideal as the knife is razor sharp!The knife itself is obviously well built and sharpened perfectly. It’s balanced and clearly made from the best materials but still not heavy in the hand.Very happy with the value, packaging and product itself and will be replacing my old knives as and when with these orient knives. I’m sure this will last me for decades!

I purchased my very first orient 8 inch chef knife about a year ago and i have used it for completley the wrong reason intended. It has been my companion knife on a fishing boat cutting rope slicing fish and chopping conger eel and needless to say it holds a great edge for a long time baring in mind it has been relentlessly sharpened and abused on the boat and served me well. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a budget knife that will handle your every day kitchen needs with no problem Orient knives are well balanced and perfectly forged to do just that and at that price it wont be beaten

The only downside is food sticks to the blade, this happens on most knives but apart from that I would still highly recommend it and use it as often as I can.

It fits in the knife block, is well balanced and comfortable to hold, and is very sharp. It was extremely well packaged. I had to provide photo ID before I was allowed to accept the package, all as it should be. I’m very happy with the purchase.

It is really good looking with very nice Premium packaging but now it is struggling to slice a tomato.

I particularly love the weight - feels heavy duty in your hand and is comfortable to hold while using. Comes well packaged and the plastic guard is a nice touch to protect it and ensure safe storage when not in use. Overall a quality product and one I would definitely recommend.

- Hi, does the knife come with water droplets included as seen on the picture?The knife used in the photoshoot had added water droplets. Brand new knives are heat shrink sealed. Please look through all of the additional photos for other angles and views.

- What is the dimensions of the blade? Package is saying 35mm but what is the dimensions from the blade edge to the top edge?. Knife holder problemsNearest the handle the distance from the sharp edge to to spine (top) is 44mm. The blade as shown tapers to a point.
