Best bread knife you can buy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 May 2010
I didn't realise what I was missing until I bought this. This really is a very big knife, quite a bit bigger than a standard bread knife. Excellent for cutting half-baguettes the long way. You will note from the picture that the handle is not in line with the cutting edge. This means that your knuckles do not hit the work surface when coming to the end of your cut unlike a standard bread knife.I read one review from a pro-chef who was a knife collector who said that you are wasting your money if you spend more than £20 on a bread knife as they "rip" the bread rather than cut it. How wrong he is. Bread cut with this knife looks as if it's been cut with a laser!A dream to use. Couldn't recommend it enough.
