My only negative would be that there should be more warning messaging on the packaging. I was tired from work and having bought these to replace an older set that was never anywhere near as sharp, I sliced my finger open whilst unpacking them. With an average set this would not have happened but the slightest touch in the wrong part of the knife, whilst still in its packaging sliced deep into my finger. They will be useful for slicing things but they do require extra care unless you want to lose fingers!

The knives are sharpe and comfortable to use.These are a replacement for my first set of sabatier knives which lasted 45 years. They had lasted well and always sharpened back up but the handles had started to crack and the steel was becoming pitted. These replacements have not disappointed me they are razor sharp and a joy to use the handles are comfortable. And the knife feels well balanced. THe knife block they came in is elegant and looks good on the worktop. I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought a cheaper knife, which was very sharp compared to these.Update, had these now for 5 months and blunt as anything. complete waste of money and would advise against them.

- What are the sizes of these knives pleaseLong knife blades are 300mm each, small knives are 90mm and 120mm....hope this helps.
- How many hard is knives on hrc ? 55hrc like v-sabatier, or 58hrc like richardson sheffield r-vidion?I’m not sure what the hrs is but the knives stamp has X50 CrMoV 15 on it
- Can these be sharpened - if so, how?I use a ceramic sharpening stick on a regular basis which keeps a really Sharp edge on the knives!
- How tall is the knife block with knives inside?I would not recommend you buy these as they are not very sharp and blunt very easily.
