I work in a kitchen professionally with sharp knives, I bought these for home as I was sick of using rubbish knives out of work and these were just as blunt. I had to stand and sharpen them before I could even try to use them which is really bad considering they boast how sharp they are in the product description. Not very impressive. Tried messaging seller with no reply about this, just received a generic ‘please leave feedback’ so here it is!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 May 2020Love them but....I have given this item a good review because generally I love them, the set is fantastic.But I always prep my garlic with a mild thump to release the shell and yesterday this happened.More upset over losing one from the set than anything.Not sure if there was a floor in this one knife.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 June 2020Such a shame for lovely handling knives- terribly made.Such a shame, lovely knives, and easy to use.BUT save your money and buy some better ones.Bought in April, and sending back start of June for a refund.Claims to be stainless steel, yet Rust spots have appeared along the blade of the knife. Come to sharpen them today and the blade disintegrated all where the rust spots were.They were never put in the dishwasher (as not dishwasher safe) and always cleaned, and put back in the box due to children being around.I have a cheap Murphy Richard's set which I've had for 3yrs and never had this issue with those.Bought thinking I could do with some decent sharp knives and really let down. Will be trying a different brand.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 August 2021NOT DISHWASHER PROOFFirstly, I love the knives and they are very lightweight which was important for me. I have to point out though that they are not dishwasher proof although it doesn’t say that on the box. It does recommend hot soapy water to clean. I wrote to customer services and they suggested I try baking soda and water as a paste to clean the knives to remove the rust and happily it worked. The rust appeared after only one wash in the dishwasher so beware.

After putting up with semi blunt knives for years these are superb. Nice and sharp but not too heavy or cumbersome to hold like some I’ve tried. Excellent value. Highly recommend.

- Knife holder for jean patrique chopaholic oriental 3 piece chefs knife setThis is only a knife set, not a knife set with a block. I bought these and bought their knife block separately and couldn't be happier.
- Can they be sharpened on a WhetstoneI never use knife sharpener. I only ever use a steel to keep an edge on the knife
- Do they come in a presentation box?They come in a very nice box. I don’t know if you would call it a presentation box as such but it is suitable to give as a gift.
- What is the angle of the bevel? Useful to know for when they require sharpening on a whetstone.These knives are sharpened by a machine so you can choose your angle and resharpen them to your specs
