Customer Review
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 August 2018Simply elegantI've reviewed these glasses before because this has been my third time of purchasing. My opinion hasn't changed. They are exactly the simple elegant shape and quality I want. Some may consider the size too small, well there are larger versions to be found within the same make. Personally I do not like the current fashion for huge wine glasses and I think these are just fine for everyday use.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 August 2019Very happy! This is the second set I have bought, as or me they are what I wanted. Some people complain that the glasses are small, but this is the very reason I bought them. I found that I was giving myself far too large a portion, in my other glasses, which I can't do with these.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 January 2021Stylish Crystal Glasses - just right for 125mlLovely shaped glasses if you have limited cupboard space. A full glass (not over full) comfortably holds 125ml wine.Has a nice crystal ring to it. Rim diameter 6cm and bulges slightly to approx 6.5cm. Looks elegant but seem robust.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 January 2018Very good white wine glassesI have purchased these wine glasses before. I was pleased that they arrived so promptly - I wanted them for Christmas. I like it that they are not too big.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 June 2015Very small. Make sure you order the right size!I ordered more of these glasses to re-stock, due to a few breakages of my existing supply. Those I bought were sold to me in different packaging and described as white wine glasses - so I ordered 'white wine glasses'. However, I did not realise that there are large and small white wine glasses and these are very small - more like sherry glasses, so I have had to reorder and return - paying about a tenner for postage, which would have been unnecessary, had I checked the capacity. Note that, when measuring capacity, you fill the glass right to the top.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 September 2020Nice simple glasses that fit in the dishwasherWe bought these glasses simply because they were short enough to fit in our dishwasher without lowering the top basket. They match some slightly taller ones from the same manufacturer so there is no visible difference.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 May 2015THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THESEAt last, a glass that leaves people with a choice about how much wine they drink. Had bought a job lot of the bucket-sized glasses available everywhere. One glass of red easily exceeds two units but pour a restrained amount and it looks mingy. These are elegant and not too fine to be easily breakable. They arrived well packaged and undamaged. Liked them so much, we bought a second set.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 June 2014Exactly what I expected...This was an order for a replacement set (we're rather good at breaking glasses in this household), so there were no surprises. It's a good clean design with no fancy features and ideal for everyday use, while rising well above toothmug standard. The other great feature is the relatively small size - so many glasses these days are SO DAMN BIG! If I'm drinking a modest sip of white wine of an evening I don't want to be drinking it out of a tankard with a stalk. Besides, I can easily lose track of consumption in those things.Glasses delivered promptly and all in good order. A good buy at a reasonable price - no "wow factor", and that's the only reason it doesn't get five stars. If you want perfect symmetry in every aspect you may be disappointed, but for me that's part of the appeal. They have it where it's needed, and that's in the base.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 May 2020Smaller than ExpectedNice glasses but the way I drink wine I will have to fill it up every 5 minutes!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 February 2020Very SmallI love the Michaelangelo wine glasses. I have a whole range of different styles. These ones are very small though and I don't think most people would want to use even as a white wine glass.
Customer questions and answers
- Do you measure wine glasses to the top ?No - generally the one standard drink measure now used. Which is why we found the Michelangelo White Glasses too small ! though very nice.
- Hello, please could you confirm what volume these glasses hold? The ones I am trying to replace hold 180ml (to the rim)Thank you for your question These glasses should hold 180ml to the rim but due to the hand blown nature of them this may vary a small amount. - Will these glasses fit in the top tray of a dishwasher without the stems snapping offThat's a bit tricky without knowing your dishwasher! But as it's one of the smallest "ordinary" wineglasses on the market, with a correspondingly short stem, it stands a better chance than most. Height is 68mm, but if your dishwasher tilts things sideways on the racks, like ours, allow up to 85mm clearance.Oops, just… see more That's a bit tricky without knowing your dishwasher! - Do these glasses come boxed? My brother wants some small wine glasses for Christmas but I wanted to know how they were presented. ThanksThey come in an ordinary card box (I can't remember exactly but think it might have been whiteish with pics on the side, it wasn't as unsightly as a cardboard box). Inside the box is segmented into 6 for each glass. Not a presentation type box but I was happy giving them as a present.
