Wearing badly although it states they are dishwasher safe
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 February 2019
We have had these glasses since September 2018. One shattered in the dishwasher a few weeks ago (no reason) and the other 5 are showing signs of age with rubbing lines appearing around the widest part of the glass. The reason we bought them is we were replacing some Villeroy & Boch glasses we had had for 8 years, which ironically now look in better condition. See attached photos, one shows two M&W glasses, both worn, the second photo is a comparison of the V&B glass (left - 8 years old) and the M&W glass (right - 6 months old). The M&W glasses are cheaper, but I would expect more.

    Excellent value for money.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 December 2016
I have both the 540ml and the 400ml. They are both excellent value for money, but I have to say that I prefer the smaller ones as I can hold them in my hand easier, and they have a nicer feel to them around the lip. They both arrived nice and quick and were really well packaged. Would definitely recommend and they would make a nice present.

    Cloudy in six months
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 July 2020
I bought these on beck in December 19, it’s now beginning of July, so 7 full months of use. Not daily use, but reasonably frequent use.Overall, I love the style and the size, they are very versatile getting used for juice just as much as wine! One of the main selling features for me was the fact they are described as dishwasher proof, but regrettably I would question that statement - with out exception they all show sings of clouding from dishwasher use near the rim so there is no hiding it from guests! It really detracts from the statement of the glass. The glasses themselves probably lasted 4 months before they started to show some signs of clouding, now it’s so ‘in your face’ I’m looking for alternatives again. I have tried hand washing to try to recover them, and the special glass cleaning wash on the dishwasher both to no avail.I highlight this just for people’s awareness, if you’re going to predominantly hand wash them, I’m sure you’ll be fine, but if like me, you’re a little lazy and use the dishwasher - it’s one to look out for and be aware of!I still love the design, but I will be looking for some better quality next time, the price for circa 6 months use is a bit rich for me to simply repurchase as is.

look gorgeous and are sturdy enough to be used for juice and water
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 November 2017
We've been using these for years as a replacement for a much more delicate (and expensive) set that broke all the time. They hardly ever break, look gorgeous and are sturdy enough to be used for juice and water, as well as for hosting with wine. Love and bought two packs for when we have lots of people over. Tip: you can easily stack two at a time in the cupboard and they do very well in the dishwasher even without rinse aid. Love.

Not only for wine but a Guinness tastes mighty fine too. Quality glasses - love them. Great shape, great size - a nice mix of not too sturdy and not flimsy either. Will definitely buy again. Would recommend.

Really nice wine glasses, thin glass but seem to be strong and holds plenty of wine for when you have had a bad day in the office :)Dishwasher safe too!

    Modern
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 May 2019
These are lovely to enjoy a glass of red in. They are a large size but don't look silly if you only pour a small amount. The shape is very modern. They come well packaged to protect during transit. The only thing I'd say is they are very lightweight, so if you're after a weightier glass then they may not be for you.

I haven't spilled a drop of wine since buying these, except down my neck. Haha

Like them. Really quiet stylish. Glass is thin, but suits design. Been in the dishwasher every day since we bought them and they are still bright and clear with no breakages, although I have been careful with them. Arrived in nice gift box too.

    More robust than I thought
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 May 2018
I didn't even open the first delivery, I could hear the noise of smashed glass inside and knew none of them had made the journey. A replacement was sent out instantly and the originals were sent back for free. These are the best glasses we have, great feel to them. They fall over in the dishwasher and right themselves which means they're full of water when you take them out, but you soon learn to wedge them in so not to move. One slipped out of my hand when emptying dishwasher once and fell about 20cm onto the top basket and survived, I'm not suggesting you test this theory but very impressed, hopefully they will last.

    Great glasses
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 February 2021
Really good glasses, you need to be careful as they hold a lot of wine. Great size to fit in the dishwasher but you need to ensure you have them next to a cup or something so they don’t fall over during the wash. We love them

Customer questions and answers

  • What are the dimensions of each glass - height, width etc
A bit hard to measure a shaped glass. They are 11cm high; 6cm across at the top edge and 9cm approx across the widest part; as I say, hard to measure exactly. Hope this helps, Jane
  • subtitle says set of 4 description says set of 6. Which one is correct?
I purchased the Red wine glasses set for my Mum and she loved them. Well made large glasses that can be used for various drinks like gin and mixers as well as red wine etc. They came in a set of 6 in a box.
