- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 October 2020SurprisedIf I'm honest when I first opened the box I was slightly disappointed at the shape. only a little bit but they were not quite as for proportionate as I was expecting. Then after about 10 seconds into washing them I was really impressed by the quality. They feel robust and sturdy. Really well weighted. I've bought a lot over the years and I have some that I've paid 4 x the price. They will be staying in the cupboard. Love these.

So these glasses, though still a bit on the large size for me, are shorter and they look GOOD. They feel good in the hand. There's 6. Yaay! I need 5 for Christmas. And Dartington has a good reputation. I read the reviews. They're a wee bit mixed. But with one careful lady owner (me) and no dishwasher use...., well, I have my fingers crossed.

I am delighted with this purchase.Edit: It is now September,2016 and disappointed to write that half have cracked since I bought them, mainly when drying them, even although I handle with great care. They are thin and extremely (I can not stress enough) extremely thin & fragile. Handle with THE greatest care if you wish to keep long term.

However they have broken far too easily, 2 in the dishwasher (despite being claimed as dishwasher proof), and 2 when washing up by hand. We know how to handle crystal and I have several sets of Darlington glasses, some 30 years old, but hese have just been far too fragile.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 April 2021Poor Quality and designDisappointingly when I received these glasses, two glasses were chipped , on the rim edges , and they were not and could not be safe to use for anyone. Very thin glass , extremely poor quality , description did not match what we expected. They were in a box for 4 glasses , but they were not individually wrapped safely within the box they came in, extremely poor quality. I can not recommend these glasses based on the experience we had.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 September 2019Glass spots no matter how washed.These are beautiful glasses, but no matter how I wash them, either by hand with a vinegar rinse, or in my dishwasher, they spot. None of by other glass items do this so I can only assume that there is something in the composition of the glass thas is causing the problem. Cannot recommend purchasing them.

These are the shorter stem version designed to better fit the dishwasher that I deliberately chose so they would be less likely to accidentally knock over. Those who complained the stems are too short should have bought the 2cm taller version! The crystal is a good balance: thin enough at the rim and light to hold, yet strong enough to resist accidents. They look and feel lovely, and hold just the right amount of wine when poured to the widest part of the bowl. We use for both red and white. Great value too!

These are my regular use wine glasses. Size is perfect and not too tall to topple over. Wasnt expecting such lovely glasses for the price I paid. They are rather fragile so I wash by hand but for the price there is no complaints!

The bowls are quite thin (they ring nicely) and the glasses are lovely to drink from. I'm being careful with them as I think they'll be fragile. Still, they're a reasonable price and presumably replaceable.

- Length of stemIt is approximately 5cm
- are thsee glasses heat resistant ie hot waterThey're fine with water from the hot tap, or a normal dishwasher cycle. I haven't tried anything hotter than that!
- What is the wine capacity of the wine glass?Very large glass of red if you fill... Very large. I like a large glass and a little wine... I would recommend them.
- How tall is the glass?I don't have anything available to measure them, but my guess would be 7.5-8". They are good looking, well proportioned glasses and offer good value for money, I'm very happy with mine.
