  Pretty but small, not as described

  I chose these because I love Blue & white patterns on china & also I love William Morris designs. The disappointment came when I saw how small they are. They are described as 13cm tall,11cm width & an inside circumference 10cm; which they are not. So a small mug of tea indeed. If you are a “make a pot of tea” person & fill up your mug, then they will do the job as required.For clarity they are nearly 9cm tall & 9cm circumference.They are pretty, but not as light as fine bone China, but if you have the money they might make a nice gift.I’ll probably return them.

  Thin at the lip edge

  Bone china gives a better taste to tea and these hit the mark. My red line for selecting a cup or mug is based on the material but also the thinness of the lip of the top of the rim. These past with flying color. I had been drinking from a taller thinner mug but these were more suitable as I often left a mouthful in the bottom of my older mugs. Seem to be hardwearing and surviving the dishwashers highest longest cycle. Add to this you also help to support the V&A which is probably my favourite museum (Love the Chihuly Rotunda chandelier in the entrance lobby)

  Not like picture!!

  The pictures on Amazon show a clear fronted box which the mugs can be seen through, I did not get that kind of box! The inside of the mug on Amazon clearly shows a small Tulip on the inside edge, there was nothing on the inside of the mugs I received - I am totally disappointed in this purchase, however as it was a present I did not have time to return the product and it was not until I came back here to check that I realised it was so different from advertised - don't bother buying this product unless you have time to return it after checking it

  Where’s the gold rim?

  I was excited for the arrival of my new V&A bone China mugs as I had already purchased some a couple of years ago. I’m slightly disappointed that there is no gold rim on the lip of the cup and this really devalues the product. The handle is also slightly more clunky, which gives the impression of a’run of the mill’ mug rather than a special delicate mug. If I had wanted this I would not have gone to the trouble of buying a V&A China mug but something less classy. I won’t be buying any more sorry

  Disappointing

  Although these look the part and are very decorative within just a few days the inside became really badly stained by the tea and coffee. I have had much cheaper ones in the past that, even now, haven't stained at all. Will not buy again because, at this price, this shouldn't happen!

  Tulips on the inside missing!

  Lovely set, the colours are beautiful and the cups are well made. I would’ve given it a five but as depicted in the photos and also mentioned in the description, the tulips on the inside were missing. Thought that was a nice feature but I unfortunately the ones I have received don’t have the tulips on the inside.

  Pretty pattern and beautiful quality - good gift idea

  Bought these when on a lightning deal, so got an extra bargain, but they really are beautiful mugs (if mugs can be beautiful!) Delicate but with enough weight to them so you don't feel as if they'd break with every cuppa. And a very pretty pattern. Would buy more from this range, but would probably wait for another deal.

  Stain has appeared and won’t remove on inside of one of the mugs DONT BUY THESE MUGS

  A stain had appeared in one of the cups which despite being through the dishwasher is not being removed. I believe this could have been there already and water and cleaning has exposed it because the other cup is fineVery disappointing as this was a gift

  Fast delivery & super quality

  Love these! I treated myself because the one I'd had for ages got broken. They arrived next morning and they're just the loveliest cups. Light, good quality (being V&A). Super fast arrival and I'm thrilled that the presentation box can be re-used as the white label slips off. So now i've got a lovely box too!

  No Tulip on inside of mugs

  Very pretty and versatile however no tulip printed on inside of mugs which was disappointing hence only three stars bought two sets for my own use so I kept them.
