- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 April 2020Return to sender bag of s***Broke within 2weeks, company wouldn’t take the return due to being in California. Wanted me to send videos pressing the reset. Gave up, what a waste of money
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 October 2019Looks great and cool, but doesn't work quite so well. The mug really does look impressive and cool in operation. The display on the mug is neat and the link to a smartphone useful, especially if you also have a connected watch. So a cool looking pice to tech.In use it started to let itself down. The mug isn't very well insulated and so the outside gets a bit warm, showing the coffee is losing heat that way. OK so the built in heater does a good job of keeping the coffee at the set temperature but at the expense of battery power. I like my coffee reasonably hot (62C) and get only 65 minutes battery life.My mug was delivered with a completely flat battery which took 6 hours to even start charging. This wasn't mentioned in the instructions. The support at Ember were good at responding to an email about this and it was clear they know this is a 'bug'. Once you get through this the first time the charging does work quickly.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 January 2019Terrible battery lifeAfter using this item it has disappointed me very much so. The battery life on this travel mug is horrendous! 2 hours maximum. For the price I paid for this I expected much more.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 August 2020Great - for the 4 weeks it workedI bought this on the recommendation of a friend who knows I like my coffee! The concept is a great idea albeit an expensive one. I should have known that all wasn't well when I could not get the mug to charge, but 2 factory resets later all was well until yesterday morning when it stopped working altogether. I tried another hard reset and then another - no joy. Checked the charger, changed the plug nothing.Ember offered to replace if I sent numerous videos but told me I would have to wait another month, understandable until I looked on the Amazon site and saw that I could have one supplied by Ember the next day. This left a bitter taste in my mouth! The idea is good but the design could have been better. I particularly disliked the mouth piece which you have to push down to use which means that you can get burned if you are not careful. Not sure that I shall be spending my refund money on a replacement
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 August 2019Expensive but...Of course this Ember mug is punitively expensive, but as luxury, technological products go, this is the business! It arrives beautifully packaged - as if an Apple product. The mug connects wirelessly to a sleek ‘saucer’ which connects to the power. The internal battery keeps all manner of hot drinks piping hot - at a temperature of your choosing - for at least two hours. The scrolling display is beautifully integrated in the sleek exterior. I love its look and feel and only quibble about the modest 350ml capacity. Hand-washing only, obviously but this product is a triumph of technology over a very mundane issue: cold coffee!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 January 2020I charged it over 6 hours and it didn't workI give one star because it didn't work when I tried to turn on after I unboxed. Then, I charged and checked it for every 2 hours until it took over 6 hours. Finally, it didn't work at all. It took around 2 weeks for the delivery just for used the clash item. The Ember's staffs have not replied any email to me also. Well well well .......
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 September 2018AwesomeThe good: sleek beautiful design, super simple control & operation. Keep s temperature well for about 90 minutes. The bad: about 100 ml too little volume for me but might be sufficient if you choose small or medium size coffee normally. Obviously would like a little longer retention but understand that impossible with size issues.Beautiful well designed product, will buy again & again & again.......
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 January 2020AppBattery’s life is about 1 hour especially if it’s heating up away from the base! But hey I have a black one and my wife a white one and is the first Thing we turn to in the morning since, I bought them!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 July 2021You need to read thisGreat product but serious warning DO NOT USE THE PHONE APP since ember updated their phone app I have bought and returned 3 mugs because when I have linked mug it will not charge great device I love it can't live without one now but if you buy this do not pair I have e-mailed ember to tell them but to be safe do not pair for now
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 June 2020Ideal if u working from homeExpensive but defo worth it, it took a long time to charge initially but was fine after that.
