It can also be used as a storage facility for items such as pens, pencils and other bits of stationery. You can even use it as an ornament. I tend to find people buy it to use as a vessel for drinking liquid.

It handles nicely and is made of a good quality bone china. The gold trim around the rim means that it can’t go in the microwave and the transfers and that gold rim also makes it unsuitable for the dishwasher – the design will fade.It arrives in an attractively designed box with a printed BFG design; the box is of sufficient quality to make it something that could be used in a bedroom for storage of odds and ends rather than recycled immediately. The box also makes it easy to gift/wrap and helps to ensure it arrives in one piece.I like the mug and the fact the design has been carried on to the inside as a little surprise to the drinker. It is a pity it is hand wash only as ability to place in a dishwasher increases utility, but it is an attractive mug nevertheless.
