1 pint tankard with solid metal base from Edwin Blyde & Co comes with our makers mark underneath. This tankard also comes in a plain black box. This is an ideal gift for any occasion. It is individually hand made in our Sheffield factory by skilled craftsmen. Pewter is an alloy that's made up of 94 percent tin, 4 percent copper and 2 percent antimony. These three metals give it the lustre that make it the appealing metal fit for any purpose. All the products are made from lead free Pewter and conform to the British standards of Pewter.

Drinking from it feels no better than drinking from a paper cup.I'm not sure what is meant in the ad by "with Solid Metal Base", "with Thin Metal Base" would have been more accurate.I recently bought a pewter wine goblet which feels so much more substantial.It's not something I'd give as a gift.
