There is a distinct line that runs across the top of the base of the glass, presumably from its mould. I purchased 2 glasses and the defect is apparent in both of them, so unfortunately it is not a one off. A quality crystal glass does not have this defect.Once you remove the Dartington label you could be looking at a 50p glass not one that cost £9.I have purchased Dartington before and there were issues with those glasses as well. I assumed it was a one off but that clearly isn't the case. I shall buy from a quality crystal maker in future.
