  Chipped non-stick coating

  Tefal advertise that one of the benefits of the Ingenio range is the ability to stack pans inside each other for easier storage. Well after four years of (gently) placing smaller pans inside, the non-stick coating started to chip. At first it wasn't very noticeable, but within a few weeks the whole coating was coming away. Tefal claim to have a lifetime guarantee, but in this case they said it was my own fault, even though they are the ones suggesting you stack pans inside each other. Apart from this issue, it had been a great wok.

Doh, I have now corrected things and have got the INDUCTION Version, and I am really pleased!First off, Yes its a WOK in style style, but its more like a Deep Frying Pan, with all tthe benefits of the INGEIO Range!Last night I cooked with ease a late niht Engish Breakfast, without any issues from the fat spitting out of the frying pan. So made a difference.Why was I using it in place of my INGENIO frying pan - well currently waiting on my NEW frying pan to arrive - seems that the TEFLON coating last about 5-Years, then all of a sudden it dies! So theres a great recommendation 5-Years non-stick cooking. (then all of a sudden became stick!)OVERVIEW of Use::We have used TEFAL Ingenio Cookware for the past 5-years, they have been one of the BEST Purchases we have ever made - talk about being versatile! As you can fry, bake, serve on the table or even freeze your frying pan - as said really versatile all because there is a detachable handle, so simple so ingenious that no one else has ever thought of it.BEST of all they were originally designed for use with INDUCTION HOBS, hence the name INGENIO.I'm not saying you can fry your eggs then freeze them, no not that daft, but you can cook say a pasta sauce, let it cool down, remove the handle, then put a sealable plastic lid on and pop it into your fridge, alternately you can serve straight to the table after cooking using the frying pan as a serving bowl, keeping things nice and hot. Alternately, pop the handle less pan into your oven to keep it warn, until you are ready to serve.Best of all it - Makes COOKING FUN again!IMPORTANT FINAL POINT:: You are going to need to BUY a Handle to use with this item...   The most often kitchen tool used.

  We love this wok so much we purchased a second one. It is used nearly every day for stir fry, soups, stews, curries. You name it, we use it. It also gets taken for picnic fry ups and on holiday when we are self catering. We purchased our first one years ago but it wasn't suitable for induction hobs. Not to be wasted, it was passed on to our daughter. We ruined our next one by using frylight in it so lesson learned. It did not put us off buying more and can highly recommend buying this make. We have the Ingenio because of the space saving and have also invested in the saucepans. Easily a 5* buy.

  Good size and depth Wok

  I am new to stir frying and realised that my frying pans were just not deep enough to stop me making a complete mess of the hob, when doing so. I already had pans and frying pans from this range, so the natural choice for a wok was the same.I love the detachable handle which makes storage so much easier.Happy with the wok. Washes easily and just a quick wipe with a little oil to prepare it for next time

  Excellent non stick and heat distribution

  Bought this to compliment a set of ingenio pans. Have previously used Stellar pans but am now a convert. I use an induction hob and find the heat distribution excellent. Need to set temperature lower than I might have expected. The non stick is the best I've ever used

  Does Exactly What It Says

  The pan is quite big and deep which is really good. Food doesn't stick but for me can be a little heavy and difficult to turn the food onto the plates. Has quite a rough texture to it but not sure it that's how it's supposed to be. Would recommend.

  Non stick function deteriorated after 9 months of use

  The pan was great at the beginning but food began to stick more and more at the bottom from about 9 months in. The bottom is not scratched, the coating is still there but food sticks to it like crazy. Not happy

  Very Pleased, ......BUT !!

  Very pleased with set of 3 saucepans and 28cm Wok. Only downside is that the outside of saucepans scratch very easily and are continually scratched when removing the handles, which are very aggressive.

  The whole Ingenio range is just brilliant. It stacks so easily creating more space in storage areas. As with all Tefel products it has a good non-stick surface so is easy to cook with and easy to clean. Would definitely recommend.

  Great addition to your kitchen

  I love this range of pots and pans so much that I bought a set for my niece and like me she loves them too. Space saving, truly non-stick, cooks food evenly across the pan. Love it.
