    Not fit for purpose
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 June 2020
I had frying pan for 5 months and the non-stick interior began to peel off near where the rivets held the handle on. I was told by the seller to contact Tefal directly and I did this and sent them a photograph by email as they asked. Tefal policy is that you have to return the frying pan via the post office to one of their agents for it to be examined. This was during coronavirus and we are not of an age to be able to go out to a post office without some risk. We did not want to ask a family member to do this either for the sake of a £30 frying pan which was obviously not fit for purpose. It is supposed to be guaranteed for 25 years. I contacted Tefal to ask if they could do anything such as collect the pan or simply accept the photograph but they would not. I will probably put it in the dustbin and buy a Circulon pan. They are the best.

    Not for the inner chef
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 October 2018
Good pan at first glance and first fried egg, but as I like to cook and can cook, there’s a couple negatives, the handle became a little loose from its rivets a couple of months inn also said handle gets extremely hot, in my opion it’s to short hence the quick transfer of heat up it, and then more worrying the non-stick coating has just vanished on the one side, always taken care of when washed obviously no scourers just wet cloth. Wild like a replacement or a refund !

    Good Pan, but metal handle
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 April 2021
I wanted another Tefal pan like the one I've had a year or so. This one is almost completely identical, same size, depth, shape... except for the handle. The older one is plastic handle just like all the Tefal frying pans and sauce pans that I have, but this one is metal and I didn't notice that from the pictures when buying.Other Tefal Pans I see on amazon of this size are a different shape, with straighter sides, but I find this shape works really well for omelettes and I was specifically looking for this shape when I bought, knowing that I liked my existing one.We decided to try it rather than return it. Most of the time the handle is fine, it doesn't get hot at the far end. However when trying to flip an omelette I tend to slide my hand closer to the pan to get better control of it and the handle get's very hot close to the pan, enough to give a slight (though not bad) burn. Holding the plastic handle of our other pan in the same place is not a problem, it's only the metal handle that has this issue. If you are used to metal handles, or you never have need to hold it close to the pan then this handle stays nice and cool, probably because it's hollow. But I wouldn't buy a metal handled one again.

Flimsy handle, deceiving pictures make it look solid, it isn't!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 May 2020
The flimsy handle is the biggest disappointment. The low thermal mass and heat conducting nature of the thin steel is likely to result in the handle heating up faster than with a solid handle (will have to see). Clever photography fooled me into thinking it was a solid handle like on the 28" Tefal non stick pan I own (the reason for buying this 24" frying pan).

    Amazing pan
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 May 2019
It is an amazing product by our most trusted Tefal brand, though i was a little taken back by the fact that it was made in China and not France, any ways the quality is superb. It seriously does not let anything stick to the inside of them pan no matter what it is. The pan heats up uniformly and quickly. I am using it over an induction hob. it has a steel handle so you might need gloves on a gas oven ? I haven't tested it on gas top.

    Great pan
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 May 2020
We are really happy with this. It is easy to clean primarily because we are being so careful to clean it very carefully, and only use silicon utensils on it, so as not to damage the base at all.The size is really big, and the base is nice and thick so the heat is dispersed really well. The heat-spot feature is really nice as otherwise there is little to be able to tell when the heat is right to start cooking (apart from when the oil starts smoking at which point the temperature is already to high!!)I would advise using felt pan-separator though if you get this, as the large size means that it is likely to come into contact with other items at some point.

    Teflon coating
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 November 2020
In one year the coating has come off near the rivet. Never used metal nor scoured this pan . Not expected this of tefal at this price. Don’t buy!

Great indicator for optimal heat. Heat spread evenly across surface. Easy to clean and tough for riggors of daily use. Remember to make sure you carry out revommended 'first use' steps as it will lengthen life of product!!

    Not sure about this Pan!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2018
Early days, I'm not sure whether I like this pan or not. Any oil you put in it immediately runs off to the outside edge of the pan leaving the centre of the pan without oil, Not much us in that is there.

Customer questions and answers

  • Is it made in France or China?
Not sure about the 30 cm - the 20 cm is made in China
  • Base diameter of 30cm pan?
Sorry, I have the smaller 20cm pan. Measurements for that are: inner edge diameter = 20cm (outer edge is 21.5 cm) and the base is 13.5cm. Hope this can give you some idea.
  • Can get get lids for these?
Have never seen any for these, we use large lids from our other pans
  • Does the five year guarantee cover the non-stick coating?
The guarantee on the non-stick coating is for 2 years for blistering and peeling only, validated by a proof of purchase.
