- Are these pans solid stainless steel, or do they have perforated base stuck on bottom of pan?The pans are solid stainless steel but have an additional layer of steel on the base for added strength. Can throughly recommend them and are best set of saucepans I've ever bought. As far as I know the solid steel versions were never on general sale in the U.K.
