    Nice pans but.........
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 September 2018
I bought these pans because of the stacking ability as I needed to free up cupboard space. I've thrown a lot of old pots, pans and bakeware out in favour of these pans, which is great. One thing I would say however, is I did not know the handles can be damaged by heat and the instructions are to remove the handles during cooking. First, I have mild arthritis in my hands and need BOTH hands to unclip them as they are very stiff. Secondly, when cooking with frying pans and the wok, you need the handle attached to hold it whilst stir frying, turning foods etc. The wok especially, on a wok gas burner, is not particularly stable because the handle is too heavy and renders the pan lopsided until filled with sufficiently weighty ingredients. I've had the pan tip over whilst heating up oil prior to stirfrying and there's no way you could use the wok without a handle as it is not flat enough to sit without risk of toppling over and spilling hot oil. It's not practical to have to remove handles and it is dangerous to not hold the pan somehow whilst frying and stir frying. Otherwise, I am pleased with the pans so far. I have had them a few months now and the non stick quality is still very good, although I don't put them in the dishwasher.

Really good set of pans, ditch the spatulas though
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 February 2018
Have been wanting to buy an ingenio set for months as we bought a set for the in-laws last year, and settled on this set for all our cooking needs. The pans are fantastic, and would strongly recommend investing in a good set of plastic utensils to reduce scratching. The handles and strainers are of good quality as expected from Tefal. Was dissappointed that this set did not include glass lids for the pans (even though i did know when ordering) so you do need to order a set of pan lids seperately. The plastic lids for cold storage are surprisingly good, i didnt expect them to make an airtight seal when used.Really disappointed with the added novel spatulas. was expecting better from Tefal to produce a reasonably sized and higher quality item. the handles arent even as long as the fork, so the clearance of hand to pan would be super close. the plastic felt extremely brittle. We did a rigid test on one of them and it snapped clean at the neck on first try. Also the edge of the spatulas were unfinished and sharp where the casting line was. They both went straight into the bin. Pretty shoddy when our £3.99 Wilkos utensils beat a Tefal item.Regardless of the stupid spatulas and lack of glass heat lids i would still highly recommend the ingenio range. The pans are brilliant quality.

    Haven’t lasted 3 years
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 February 2019
We have a large family and use the pans dailybut after nearly 3 years of ownership, they are all broken in different ways. The frying pans are warped in the middle - pancakes run around the edge which is great if you like them thick round the outside and thin in the middle. The pans that we use most often are damaged in really odd and inconsistent ways. The smallest pan’s Teflon has come off to reveal what looks to be drill marks - it can only be a manufacturing fault. The larger of the thre pans leaks out of the side - again it looks like it has been drilled. The handles and the way the pans stack (and go in the dishwasher) is great but the quality of the pans is low.Teflon is a brand that is well known but every experience I have had with their products is not good - they degrade quickly and become unusable. In all if you use your pans once a week then these would be great - but they are not good enough for the repeated reuse of a large family.

    Great Kit
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 April 2018
I bought the Ingenio essential set just a few days ago so can’t comment on the longevity of it yet. What I can say is it is great so far! They save space in the cupboards and look smart too. I love being able to put the extra that I cooked in the fridge, by removing the handle and putting the plastic cover on the saucepan. No extra washing up or fiddling around with cling film.I would suggest not buying the saucepan lids as an extra as I did. I thought I would need them as my old ones took ages to come to the boil and needed a lid on to speed it up. These however come to the boil very quickly, and the set includes a draining metal lid. Plus the lids steam up and you can’t see into saucepan, never had that before. The handles take a bit of getting used to attaching and removing them, they seem nice and solid when attached though. Plus you need to place them just right before clipping them on or you risk scratching/marking the pans. Personally I think it’s worth the trouble for the space saved and the versatility that this set gives. All in all, I recommend this set and hopefully they will stand the test of time.

    not happy

Pots and pans are great, they cook and fry very nicely. The issue is with detachable handle which is damagind paint outside and non stick coating inside the pan/pot. this is a serious flaw in the design.

1 year usage review (Purchased December 2018)
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 March 2020
I have had these for a year now and originally I was very impressed with them. I loved their versatility.A year down the line I am very unhappy, they've all been "damaged" in different ways.I would like to point out that I have taken the upmost care with these pans after a lifetime warranty claim on some Raymond Blanc pans was rejected.Firstly the handles. While these are a great idea in principle, they shouldn't be left on the pans whilst cooking as the plastic side gets hot, hardens and then cracks. They've also scratched the non stick away from the rim. This leads onto the second item problem, the non stick coating. My two most used pans are now no longer non stick. We've only used wooden spoons and silicone utensils on them, nothing metal. Not sure if it is because we put them in the dishwasher? but they are advertised as dishwasher safe.I'm going to put in a claim and may adjust my review based on the outcome.

Great idea, few floors but not enough to put me off buying more
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 September 2018
The good, easy to use, stack and has great accessories such as the fat spit lid and pasta lid, great you get two handles as often you find you are using more than 1 at a time. The bad, the spoon spatula type things are cheap n nasty so went in the bin, you have to buy pan lids separate as the ones included are storage lids not for cooking, for cost you would expect included. One negative people put is the handles chip round the edges over time due to the handle been engaged/disengaged regularly, how I fixed this was easy... when you get your first marks/chips just make sure you attach your handle in the same place every time!

    Great idea. Poor manufacturing
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 April 2019
Love the idea of the detachable handle. The ability to go from hob to oven to fridge. Great for storage!Quality however is appalling. Flimsily made - I have dents in pans and where the handle had been attached it has dents from a simple drop on the floorEven worse the non stick coating has been removed by the handle and don’t even think about using a metal utensil with this as is scratches so easilyVery poor. Maybe the stainless Steel version is a better optionSuch a shame as I say because a great conceptDon’t buy the Teflon version. Complete waste of money

    Ingenio-us pans!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 March 2018
These pans are brilliant. The none stick is fantastic and the handle idea is an ingenious one.I was reluctant to spend a little more on pans as us men don't understand good pans, but I'm so glad that I did and I love them. The spatula kit isn't rmgreat but they're not bad. They just melt a little when they're in the pan, but the pans are great. They make the BEST pancakes and omelettes!

    Very happy, would recommend !
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 August 2018
The whole concept of this product appealed to me. We were looking for a pan set that saved space, as we have moved to a new property that has many deep drawers but not the cupboard space as we had befor... tefal fitted the bill. They certainly are non stick and have worked well. Nothing attached to the pans thus far. The handles work well, as do the strainers, which I as sceptical of. They looked fiddly, but really are easy to use. Only criticism....where the handle attaches to the pans, some of the coating has been scratched way. This has been noted previously in reviews, but I was surprised at how quickly, its scratched. Not detrimental to the cooking surface (at the moment) so will let go... all in all, very happy.

  • What are the dimensions on the pans
Not sure in regards to inches etc, but they are all sizes from large to small. The large size is a great size. What are you wanting to cook or fit inside the pans and I'll advise if this is possible or not?
  • Are these pans suitable to put in the oven once you have cooked food to keep food warm?
Hi, I would have to say no as one side of the detachable handles are plastic and it may very well melt if the pan is too hot. Saying that though these are fantastic pans both for space saving and cooking with no oil. I often make omlettes with no oil and they are delicious. Hope that helps with your purchase. D.G.
