- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 November 2020As a gastropub owner-must have pan for homePerfect pan - end of story. Years of "non-stick" pan experience, and finally one that works. I've been using it for a month everyday and this it THE pan to get. Good and thick to evenly distribute the heat. The red ring turns solid red to let you know when it's at temperature - so if you're using oil you just add the oil when it's solid red and food directly after - no more scorched oil and starting over! Nothing sticks to it and it cleans up with one wipe. You can cook fried eggs with no butter!

But I expect a pan this expensive to last more than 9 months, and it didn't. It is now completely devoid of any non-stick properties, and everything cooked in it simply makes the problem worse.If you can regularly afford top-end items, and/or take care of your kitchen utensils like you would your first-born, then this comes very highly rated. But for me, it was literally money down the pan.

I waited a while before posting this review to see how well it worked first. Nothing has stuck to it and I am pleased with my purchase. The pan is a little on the heavy side though - so not as easy to turn out an omelette single handed. There was only one pan left in stock when I ordered, so took a little while to arrive - but I knew that before I placed the order.

I am sadly always frying my food, from eggs to extra thick steaks. This pan gets used most days and every weekend. Although it is still fairly new it is great when adding just a dribble of oil to cook most foods. This 28cm is excellent and copes easily with the extra family members turning up for breakfast OFTEN.

Also, the bottom of the pan does not have a metal base like it's shown on the picture on the website. Therefore I am not even sure if it's original Tefal and that it's worth £38 even if it wasn't dented.Had bad experience with bying faulty frying pen from Amazon previously - arrived dented. There seems to be a pattern when it comes to bying Tefal frying pens on Amazon.
