Terrible wok. Avoid if you can
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 October 2018
I needed a budget price wok for light use. Quality of the brand isn't as good as it used to be, my friend has a similar Tefal stir fry pan and after a few months it got numerous stains from burnt food which he couldn't get rid of.But i needed a wok asap, so had to buy something.Fairly lightweight, i think my hard enamel frypan from Jamie Oliver weighs more, but so far no problems as you would expect. The handle is screw mounted, so it will need to be tightened every now and then - i would have liked the riveted version better, but you have to pay more for it.UPDATE:Got scratches on the non-stick coating just after 2 uses. Been using only wooden spoon to stir the food, so there is absolutely no chance that its my fault. Ordered a replacement, but the second one after making some lamb chops in it, i guess the bone scratched up the non-stick coating and there were numerous deep marks straight to bare metal.Absolutely terrible quality, this is not the Tefal that used to be.The Jamie Oliver frypan at least lasted a bit more than a year before it started to show some exterior corrosion at the bottom of the pan, but that was a more expensive one, although there is absolutely no excuse for it, from Tefal you would expect years of service before even thinking of buying a new one.And i must say, i take care of my stuff...so im a firm believer it was not mishandling, even though their quality department inspected the product and identified the defect as misuse. I'm officially done with Tefal.

    Shockingly poor quality
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 December 2018
Used it once. ONCE. cooked a stirfry and used a wooden spoon. The 'lab tested' non-stick coating was scratched after only one use.Such a shame. I 've used these Tefal pans for years - my previous one lasted for about 5 years before beginning to show ear and tear.Time for a change of brand I think. It's going back for a refund.

    Not impressed with quality !
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 October 2018
Bought 3 of these within the last year and all have started to show the same signs of wear and tear - around the top of the pan the lining has started peeling away and the handle has become loose, to the point where one is now potentially dangerous to use. Tried tightening the handle screw but doesn't make a difference as screw is rusted. Very disappointed as we've had previous versions of the same Tefal pan and they lasted a lot longer. Will have to switch to another brand.

I needed a pan to fry up some eggs
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 April 2020
I put a bit of oil in it because my mom had this pan and would get eggs stuck on hers. I’ve only used it twice and I love it. The 28cm one has a lot of space for a big breakfast. There are pictures with burn marks at the bottom of the pan. That’s your dirty hobs burning old food and oils, clean them. I dropped cheese on my hob and didn’t see it before putting my saucepan down and had similar burn marks that are tough to remove but will come off if you scrub hard enough. They’ll stain if you dont clean your hobs/pans properly after each use. Also looks like people aren’t soaking their pans before scrubbing, you could just lower your heat and not burn your food

Nice to use for breakfast, Great quality
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 April 2018
Great for any breakfast - can get 2 eggs, 3 rashers bacon, 4 chipolatas / 3 normal sausages and a large tomato in half in it, and several mushrooms or black pudding as there is plenty of room with 32cms.Non stick coating is good as far as I can tell, I use sunflower oil and wait until red bit in middle is red then cook! I use a wooden spatula and don't let my food just cook by itself I turn food over time to time so it never sticks/ burns - thus a rinse in hot soap water is all I ever need it always comes clean in seconds.I guess if I used a metal fork/ spatula etc and left food to stick or burn THEN i had to use a heavy duty pan scorer to clean the pan this may damage the non-stick coating (but them what you expect?the handle is attached with the typical long single screw down length of bottom handle so the only thing over time is maybe screw gets loose? but a screwdriver easy fix thatI do like this large 32cm frying pan it does its job perfectly for me ~ easy recommend especially at the Amazon prime price of £16.99 cannot go wrong!

Great quality pan for a great price.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 December 2018
After putting my previous tefal pan down to cool on a plastic chopping board of to find that they had welded together when i came to do the washing up, I immediately replaced it with exactly the same pan as I had used it for years quite happily. It is non stick and very easy to clean by hand or in the dish washer. I use it to fry eggs, make pancakes, cook steak and chicken and it always does the job perfectly. You can buy more expensive pans - but I doubt that they will perform any better than this one.

    Good pan

Good pan for the price. Very easy to clean. However, it is less than 28 cm, so my 28cm lid doesn't fit properly.

    Time will tell!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 March 2019
Non stick frying pans are essentially a consumable item, and it's a matter of when they will fail, not when. These pans were reasonably cheap, but they are light, which can be an advantage (handling and storage) and a disadvantage (durability). Time will tell how they hold up under use, but at this price if we get a couple of years out of them then I guess that will be in line with expectations.

If looks could kill, women wouldn't need a frying pan
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 March 2021
It was time to replace one of our old mid sized (24 cm) trusted decades-old Tefal pans. We hardly ever order delivery meals nor do we eat out, simply because I’ve started to see it as an exciting challenge to cook perfect meals for my family. This requires proper kitchen equipment, so our range of kitchen ware has been extending as my culinary skills got lifted to a higher level. This is not the highest quality fry pan but the size is quite handy for smaller side dishes or to heat up left overs. It is reasonably sturdy. The only thing with the Tefal frying pans is that after, say two years I find that I have to re-secure the handles with a screwdriver. It has a good grip and comes with a non-stick performance coating, which is helpful. I think it can be placed int eh dishwasher, but we tend to wash our frying pans by hand. Then of course all the Tefal frying pans in this range come with the typical red thermo-spot in the centre - it’s supposed to turn full red when the pan reaches the frying temperature. But frankly I find it very hard to distinguish when it changes color. So I’ve never used that feature. Also I do use a proper more upscale frying pan for frying more precious, top notch steaks. But again, this is just a very handy frying pan to have on the side. So I’m pleased with it. And I think the price is fair.

Expensive for a disposable pan. You have to treat the pan with extra care.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 September 2020
Seeing the negative reviews of the coating coming off, I carefully used this pan, using wooden spoons and silicon-coated spoons. I never scrubbed it harshly, always letting it soak in warm soapy water so anyone leftover food unsticks and comes off, before using a sponge. It seemed fine. I became confident to cooking it over medium to high heat but that when I noticed the scratches and one streak of coating peeled.I've concluded these pans are just meant to be used carefully and disposed of after a year because they are not durable. If you want something that lasts for more than a year, you will have to invest. If you are buying this pan and want it to last at least a year then follow my advice: cook on low to medium heat, don't let food sit on one place for too long during cooking (or ensure the bottom has a brothy or oily base), use gentle utensils (silicone/wood), and don't scrub harshly during washing. Soak the pan in warm soapy water for at least 30 seconds or use a sponge after you've done eating and cleaning the kitchen surfaces. Good luck.
