  Not as good as the old type Mayer Pans

  We bought these because we have had some older type Mayer Pans for about 30 years and we had found the the older type Mayer Pans to be good.This pan set was cheap in an Amazon Deal so we decided to test the small milk pan by boiling some clean tap in it for about a minute and it did boil OK but when the water was removed and the pan was cleaned we could see small black spots inside the pan and that coupled with notes in the Mayer Information Leaflet that said that "staining is not a defect" we end up with us just repacking the pans back into the box for a refund.These pans are relativly lightweight, since the handles are pressed steel with a thin coating, they feel tinny in the hand and their durability is suspect because just boiling clean water caused small black spots to develope inside the base of a pan.They look cheap, (compared to the older type Mayer Pans), they feel cheap in the hand and they also appear to stain easily when used so all in all we do not like them.

  Quality not as good as I expected!

  Was delighted when I received this order, but after only three times of using them they are starting to show signs of pitting on the bottom. I am in the process of sending them back. Very disappointed customer !

  Does the job but may not be durable

  I bought these for my new induction hob and have had it now for about three months.Couple of positives- They’re non-stick which also makes them easy to clean, come with a 10 year guarantee (part of what swayed my purchasing decision), lightweight, and they actually work on my induction hob.The glass lids do not have vent to prevent boiling over/rattling issues. This itself isn’t a negative but this ultimately is down to preference. Not having a vent means I’m able to properly seal the pots/pans when cooking which may be needed in some situations. I can slide the lid open when I need to to let steam out.Some drawbacks- two of the pans have their bottoms stained already and these won’t go when washed (Some reviewers have also mentioned this). The pans also now have marks on the inside despite only using wooden or plastic/silicon cooking spoons for cooking, which makes me question the durability of this set.Overall, these pans get the job done but I personally do not have high hopes in terms of durability (although there is 10 year warranty).

  Perfect Pans!

  I spend a lot of time cooking and was ready to upgrade my pans, spent a lot of time looking at different options and these were the set I chose and glad that I did! They look great, are obviously built well and I have been happy with the experience of using them. Definitely recommendable.

  Ummm...

  Lovely pans but in my first time of using them they marked black on the bottom inside despite not using a metal utensil but they worked on all my induction rings which my old induction ones didn't do.

  Do the job perfectly

  Brilliant pans. Had a new induction hob fitted and had to make a last minute purchase. Took a while to decide on which ones but I'm glad I went for these. Arrived promptly and are very, very well built. Comfy handles are a nice touch, the non stick feature is of paramount importance for me and it works a treat.Only thing that is a little unfortunate is that the lids do not have any ventilation, so quickly steam up and lose sight of what's cooking, but certainly nothing that makes me regret buying these.Highly recommend!

  They are poor quality and easily markerI'm very disappointed with this product I haven't use them nd they stain really bad on the bottom of the pans the pan is the worst not happy with these at all they look old now already

  discolouration inside after 1 use of water in all saucepans

  These saucepans discolour in a most terrible way after boiling just water on a new induction hob ..Specifically bought for INDUCTION .The insides are rainbow ,spotted ,and yellowy. I sent an Email to Meyer head office customer services .Not even had an acknowledgement of receiving my Email ,let alone an answer .I couldnt believe that such good quality pans would do that immediatly ,so i had already ripped up all boxes .!! I find Amazon impossible to send things back to ,and without the boxes ,I wouldnt even attempt to .Let alone the whole performance of packing it all up .HUGELY ANNOYED AND UPSET .As a pensioner ,i cant afford to buy more expensive newer ones .Have to put up with the disgusting appearance of them after just one use .

  Look no further

  We've had a large Meyer saucepan for years which has served us well so when we needed to buy pans compatible with our new induction hob we looked no further than Meyer, and have not been disappointed by the quality and value of this set.

  Non-stick doesn't last

  I bought the non-stick saucepan set a month ago and already the coating is pealing. I am so careful with these and only use silicone utensils to prolong the life of the coating - which obviously isn't working. I had previously bought 2 other cheaper sets but the coating came straight off of one set so thought i'd try stainless steal hoping it would be better only to find it rusted after a couple of uses. I bit the bullet and opted for the more expensive set hoping for better results but actually there isn't much difference between the cheaper I bought and this Meyer set. I would not recommend these saucepans to anyone!
