- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 April 2019It isn’t robustLoved the pan for the first two weeks - careful to use the right implements etc., today I can see the coating coming off - the rim and a couple of marks inside. Majorly disappointed...
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 July 2019Non stick layer gone quickly. After few times of using this pan it's not usable anymore even with lots of oil. The non stick layer is gone.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 January 2021Let down by poor quality coatingI really wanted to 'like' these pans as after a lot of research they come up top of the list on all the criteria I was searching for, ie. quality, 'green', non toxic, price etc. Unfortunately, I had to return 3 pans as the inside coating was damaged from new. I eventually received 2 replacements and just over 1 month of use the inside coating has started to chip. They've never been abused and always hand washed. Amazon have been great refunding on the 3 pans I've already received but there's clearly a fault with the coating on these and I'm fed up returning them all the time.. I'm just going to have to bin them and avoid the manufacturer like a plague in future!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 December 2020POOR QUALITY GREENPAN FRYING PANAfter lots of research we were convinced we were purchasing a good quality Pan from a quality Company. My wife has used the Pan about 3 times since it arrived, today she found some tiny 'marks', all of which have gone through the coating of the Frying Pan. There are 2 marks on the flat surface (where the oil sits) and little marks on the upper rim of the Pan. She ALWAYS uses wooden utensils so no metal to metal. What do we do ? Do we go through the fuss of parceling it up and returning or just stick with it. After 3 (maybe 4) uses, it should not be looking like a poor quality Frying Pan with poor quality coating. I should have spent time doing some pics but we are SO disappointed, have probably written in haste.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 February 2019Just what we wantedVery pleased with this frying pan and bought it because of all the safety warnings and dangers associated with teflon and other coatings. Took a couple of days to get used to, as you have to heat it slowly before adding oil. It retains temperature so isn't quite as 'instant' to control. It is so easy to clean. We just wipe it around with kitchen paper. I would have found the all ceramic ones way too heavy, but this frying pan is ideal and lovely to use.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 April 2021Not a good buy (even after lots of research)I agree with other uses who said that it has an unpleasant smell when heated. I washed it up several times, put it through the dishwasher, heated it up with water in it but the smell on heating persisted. I chose this pan because I wanted a healthier option. Also to finally finish me off it has developed two scratches through the non-stick surface and I haven’t even eaten anything out of it. These can only have occurred from putting them in the drawer. I’ll start my research again
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 August 2020HORRIBLEThis pan worked great for the first two months. And then it didn't. We handwash all dishes and pans, no dishwasher in our house, so it couldn't be from anything other than being a bad product. The nonstick surface has completely disappeared and its incredibly difficult to clean. Dont buy!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 December 2018Greenpan Memphis 20cm Frying PanThis is the second Memphis I've bought. Although following the instructions not to use high heat means frying takes a bit longer, the end result looks and seems to taste better. Having mis-treated a Teflon pan , I'll be taking more care of this one.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 March 2021Not 100% non-stickThe Green Pan range is better than most regarding non stick but far from perfect. Also, they are sold as dishwasher proof but the detailed instructions suggest not putting these pans in a dishwasher.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 January 2021Didn't survive soft waterThe metal under and on the side of this pan apparently got "eaten" by the soft water (our dishwasher is connected to softener), now revealing another layer of metal that actually rusts.Another pan (circulon) bought at the same time is still perfect.

Please remember that olive oil, extra virgin olive oil, butter and oil sprays quickly start to smoke and burn when the pan is hot. This causes carbonization of the pan, which can damage the non-stick layer. Another consideration if using (expensive) oil, is that it will turn your healthy fats into unhealthy/saturated fats. Avoid using them in combination with a ceramic non-stick pan. We recommend using refined (preferably organic) oils suited for frying with high resistance. Peanut oil or Avocado oil are good oils to start with. Unrefined oils such as Virgin and extra virgin olive oils, however healthy they might be, are not suitable for frying because even at relatively low temperatures they smoke and burn. This is not just bad for your health; it is also bad for your pan. Every type of oil has a temperature where it starts to smoke, this is the so-called smoking point. When the temperature goes beyond this point, the oil starts to dissolve, and it releases a taste that can ruin your food. Another effect can be carbonization of the pan, which can damage the ceramic layer. We, therefore, recommend using an oil with a relatively high smoking point when baking or frying. The packaging of oils, available in supermarkets does not always contain information about the smoke point. Our advice is to look for oils with clear information on the packaging that states, “suitable for frying”. Unrefined oils, such as cold-pressed or extra virgin oil, normally have specific instructions on the packaging. Avoid using oil sprays such as atomizers, nebulizers, or pumps because small droplets of oil heat up extremely quickly and causing charring on the non-stick layer. These layers of charring and carbonization cause the non-stick layer to lose its properties. Here is a useful link about oils and their smoking point. - The direction says not to use olive oil to avoid grease build up so what oil to use and why other oil does not build up grease??Dear customer, Thank you for your email. … see more Dear customer, Thank you for your email. We recommend you not to use any olive oil or butter for frying. These fats have a low smoke point and they will burn faster than others and will cause carbonization, the stains in your pan. The food that you are cooking will get burned as well and the coating of your pan will be damaged. We recommend to use other oils with a higher smoke point such as peanut or sunflower oil. We do not recommend using oil sprays, including aerosols, mist, and pump sprays. Small spray droplets heat up very rapidly and carbonise easily on the non-stick surface. This will leave a layer on the coating and will affect the non-stick performance of the pan. Here is a useful link about oils and their smoking point. - Is the handle safe in the oven? Does fit complete in the oven with the door shut? This range has a bakelite handle which can hold 180C in the oven (with the door shut).
- I have a Greenpan saucepan. It’s external surface scratches easily and it looks scruffy on the outside. Does this pan have a durable external surface?I gave the pan to someone for a present. I don’t know about the external surface, but the inside scratches very easily so you have to be very careful when stacking the pans - pad them with something.
