Works Well, but not man enough for a conservatory.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 December 2018
We bought this to use in our conservatory. I use this term loosely, as our conservatory has three full size brick walls, and on the fourth wall there is a door and two small windows, the roof is an 8 layer thick conservatory roof, so way thicker than the ordinary conservatory roof. We in fact use this for our living room.We bought this heater to heat it, and with the Minus temperatures outside, this keeps the room warm but it needs to work very hard to do so. (our room is around 50 metre cubed, or 18 metres squared, whichever way you prefer to measure it in heating terms)Using a plug in the wall thermostat to turn it off when it reaches 21 degrees, This heater is running 100% of the time at full wattage., as it can only heat the room to 19-20 degrees working flat out.., 24 hours a day... costing us £20 a week electricity all on its own! so we feel it it at the top end of its capabilities for our needs at least. We need a better heater that can cope with our particular space. But this heater works well, and would heat a smaller (than ours) room brilliantly, as the heater does get very hot.we just personally need a heater with a little more oomph. This heater does not say how many square or cubed metres it can heat, but we bought it anyway knowing we may need to spend out more later,This cost us 39.99 (on the official website you can buy at this price and here of course) and its very good for the money.

    Very pleased with this radiator
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 March 2018
Very pleased with this radiator. Easy to use. Feet\castors go on with no need for screwdriver or tools. Heats up very quickly. Might look better in white\cream colour instead of grey but not an issue for us. On full power, setting 6 and both switches, it smelled a bit but at half power it was more than powerful enough for us. Our boiler broke during the snow, this was delivered next day and has been the best bit of kit as it's very powerful and silent (was getting fed up with constant whirr of fan heater). Also didn't like leaving fan heater on in toddler's room but as this is silent it's boring enough not to attract any attention. Heats a large upstairs room with three outside walls with ceiling going up into the eaves nice and quickly plus can leave on overnight at very low setting to keep the chill off . I will be buying a second one.

    Became dangerous to use
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2019
Product used very well for up to a year and served its purpose and it then began emitting a ‘fishy’ odour from the plug, which after research is an electrical fault. Plug gets extremely hot with any use and makes a ‘fizzing noise’ when removed.I can no longer use this product as it is extremely dangerous but because it is one month after the one year warranty, the sellers will not do anything.Avoid this product and company and do a little more research first.

This heater arrived today.I opened the box there was no switches to turn on the heater. The switches had fallen into the hole when I looked. The whole control panel felt very flimsy not solid at all.Not a good start poor quality.!!!(I suppose for the price it was to be expected!)

Excellent quality heater gives off plenty of heat
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 December 2017
Excellent quality heater gives off plenty of heat. The only thing I found was a little annoying when it’s warming up its gurgling but after 10/15 mins it’s not as noisy if it wasn’t for that I would give it 5 stars.would I recommend YES

    Very Good
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 November 2020
Good heater, soon warms up the room. Flexible by having two different heat settings, with overall thermostat knob/dial to let the heater kick in and out to heat the room as required.Could do with a handle at both ends to allow it to be carried rather than just one at the plug end, but it can easily be pulled along, so is no big deal. Just being picky.I bought it, along with a second one, because my CH has gone down during Lockdown and getting someone to come to fix it is difficult enough where I live, let lone during Lockdown. Will see what the Electricity bill looks like, but right now, both are doing a great job.

Good unit but mine was clearly a return
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 October 2020
I like the unit, it heats well in a larger room and a small room only needs minimal heat settings to stay warm, my issue is the seller sent me a used unit, several dents, 1 bent fin and a very tatty and previously opened box. Having said that it works so i wont bother returning as its so time consuming. Would have given a higher rating if it was new or the seller suggested anything other than you can return it

Customer questions and answers

  • Does this heater cost a lot to run on the electric?
To work out the cost. Your heater will only use electricity when it is actually heating, so every time the thermostat turns it off it is not using anything. On the 1kW setting, it will cost 18p an hour On the 1,5 kW setting, it will cost 27p per hour. On the2 kW setting, it will cost 38p per hour. I find that once warmed up the heater is on and using electricity for about half the time so it will cut the above costs in half, but if you are in a room too big for it to maintain heat it will be on all the time and you will pay the full hourly rate. see less
  • What size is this radiator. there two sets of conflicting dimension 1st is 50w x 25d x 62.5h (cm) 2nd 56l x 16w x 67h (cm) conflicting directions.
I've just measured mine its 55cm height with feet attached, 45cm wide 12cm deep
  • Can this electric heater work all night? Does it heat itself when the temperature goes down? Is there a sound when you heat it up?
Yes it will, yes when the temperature drops the thermostat comes on there’s a slight tick as it warms up but not loud it stops after a while
  • I have a static caravan how many heaters would i need for a comfortable heat
I would recommend insulating the van first from my own experience. I think you would only need the one radiator because they are mobile. The heat is generated quickly. I have only one in my house and could use it anywhere in the house. Very happy with it.
