This model has backlights so you can change the mood with these. Brings a central focus to a room and adds a very classy touch. Repainted walls and woodwork, new floor and this fire and it's like a new room. Higly recommended.

I was sceptical about how the flame effect would look but I needn't have worried about it. The effect is very good, and I have added a short video to show this. I have purchased more pebbles as you don't get enough in the box to cover the effect bed. Easy to fit and clear instructions. I can't comment on the fan heater, I don't use it. Not the side LEDs although it all worked when tested after I installation. Been in for a couple of months now and I am happy to recommend this item.

It is a bit noisy/whirling sound when it's switched on heat mode at 2000W but if you turn it down to 1000W it's not as loud. I keep it on for the flame affect when the gas central heating is on and it's silent then. Stones that come with it look dull so swapped them over for white ones that I had from a previous fire and it's looks fantastic. Looks more expensive than what I paid for it but it's great value for money and would definitely recommend.

Would have paid considerably more if it had 'silent fan technology' Nice adjustable flame effect but strangely the blue and yellow led's don't give green when on together. Getting to keep the top row of pebbles from overbalancing whilst attaching the front screen can be a teaser.....leave well alone when you've got it to your liking! Overall this is a good product if you don't mind the slight drawbacks.

It has a timer and a thermostat on board, so the room temperature can be set depending on the weather and your personal timetable. It also has back lights with a variety of colours from which to choose.

- does the heat blow out of the top or the bottom of this fire pleaseFrom the top - we're very pleaded with ours. 2 heat settings and so far the lower one has been warm enough

- What are the dimensions, I can't seem to see them on the page?90cm by 56cm but the actual fire with out the curved glass is about 5cm smaller all round
- My old mum who is 97 feels the cold a lot in her bedroom, so will this fire heat a 10x10 room, and anyone know roughly what it would cost to run 24x7.This fire has a 2kw fan heater in it. Would heat the room ok. But dear to run. You would do better with a oil filled rad or convecter heater.
