• My radiator doesn’t get warm if I have the thermostat set up lower that 5, why is that?
  We gave up on the thermostat altogether. It stopped "clicking" and without an led to indicate that it was on, it was hard to tell when it was on and when it was off. Set up like that it has so far proved an excellent towel rail. As a substitute radiator it is very hit and miss. (The sellers were helpful and offered a replacement, but the hassle and expense of getting the electrician back in was too much for us!) see less

• Can it be installed at the top as well as the bottom
  Good afternoon. This towel rail has a pre-installed element and so this cannot be installed at the top unfortunately.

• How efficient is the heating? Is it good enough to act as a radiator to a small bathroom?
  I haven't had mine installed for long now. So haven't had a full winter yet. But living in Scotland where it doesn't really get that warm it makes the bathroom nice and warm. And that is on a low setting.

  Mine came with wall fixings and thermostat. The wall fixings were a bit "plasticy", I was wary of fixing it where the kids might hang on it... but a year later it is still there on the wall so I guess they are up to the job. The thermostat on mine isn't very good at all, it basically either stays constantly on or stays off no matter how finely you adjust it. I tend to just turn on the radiator overnight while there are wet towels on it, then turn it off in the morning. That hasn't had a noticeable impact on my electricity consumption. One of the bars was slightly bent when it arrived too, and out of line with the others, but I didn't realise until I had hung it. On balance I still thought it was good value for money but a perfectionist might be disappointed. see less
