Only been using this Winix Zero + machine for two weeks. On opening the box I saw a well packaged piece of equipment and was surprised how light weight and compact it was. The set up was extremely easy, simply remove the front cover and plastic film on the two filters and insert them, plug in and off you go. There are various settings on the machine from automatic, sleep mode, timer and even a wifi option. Variable speeds from high to low and turbo, and also a useful childlock to deter little fingers. The unit can be used via an app on your device once downloaded and this is suitable for both Apple and android products. the app us very easy to useI have already noticed the benefits of this machine in removing the harmful pollutants which aggregate asthma and airborne allergies. It removes minute dust particles and pollen and helps reduce odours within the home from cooking, smoke and pet candle flane smoke etcIt is ultra quiet in its operation and I have used it both in auto mode which goes to sleep in darkness hours, and also on manual which remains on and operates during the night. This has helped greatly in getting a better quality of sleep and the only sign it is running is the colour changing light on the front of the machine. We did keeo checking that the unit was still running fir the first couple of night . I have not noticed an increase in electric consumption since using this Winix Zero + machine.so it appears to be very economical to use I have it running 24 hrs a day.The only maintainence required is the removal of the front cover and carefully vacuuming the front filters. The machine has a light which illuminates when filters need changing, which according to the detailed instruction booklet is approximately every four months. We live in a large house and this machine is more than adequate to purify the air in our property, despite its small size. The only negative I have come across at e moment is the absence of wheels to move the device. Failing this, small pads could have been provided to protect wooden flooring, however I have rectified this by attaching small cork pads to the four corners. In summary, this machine is in my opinion a market leader and far outperforms similar devices I have used previously over the years. I have noticed health benefits to myself and other family members, and visitors to my home have commented on the lack of cooking and pet odours on entering the property. I would recommend this system to anyone, but especially to those suffering health issues due to airborne pollutants as you will notice a big difference to your health issues as we have

    Good product!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 March 2020
A few weeks ago I purchased an air quality monitoring device and saw that my indoor air quality is not that good, especially CO2 and VOC, so I decided to buy this air purifier. Overall it is a good product. It is good looking, silent and modern. But...it doesn't collect VOCs as advertised by the manufacturer. I started it to maximum power and periodically checked my air monitoring device, and what I saw is that PM10 and PM2.5 drops to virtually zero instantly, which is nice, but CO2 and VOC is not affected in any way. So if you want to collect all particles of any kind from your home, it is awesome product, but if you think it will clean your home of VOCs and CO2 - it will not.

I had doubts this would work, but I was wrong
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2020
This is not some cheap replica of a famous Swiss Air purifier. I was very skeptical that it would work. I moved to a house which turned out to be in a very dusty and pollen filled area, with constant sneezing and it got to a point where I had enough of anti-histamines and nose spray. I have severe Hayfever and allergies and this device solved all the problems. It really works. There's no gimmicks it does exactly what it says it does. I was tempted to go for the Swiss brand but this one is very performant. It clears all the irritants in the air. As for smells, I tested it by putting it in the hallway on maximum speed after cooking a curry and it cleared the smell away in 5 mins. Not only this but it's got a traffic light style led that gives you an indication of the air quality. This really works, I invited a gassy friend over who really gives out gas like Satan to eat that curry and plied with a few beers on top for good measure he went to the device and let a few gas bombs rip out and this purifier's led went red rightaway and gradually back through the colours to blue after purifing his abnoxious gas deeds. Finally the sleep mode is truly quiet. Overall a great deal from Amazon and highly recommended. There's a free filter leaflet in the box too, claim it by post, it's worth £89.Edit: The free filter didn't come through - misleading from the seller but I'm still happy with the product. I'll just buy the filters from someone with more honest advertising instead.

    Looks like a fridge
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 July 2020
Sadly sending it back - the reviews have been good but i did not see any difference in VOC's (we use a laser egg sensor to monitor levels). It also looks like a small, off white fridge so its not really an item that looks nice in a room. I don't like sending things back but with a lack of trust in the output and its fridge like design i dont think its fit for purpose.

    exceeded my expectations
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 March 2021
I suffer from severe seasonal allergy and live near a busy road. Before ordering I was a bit apprehensive whether it would be effective for our large living room. However, it exceeded my expectations and I can breathe freely again. Also, the carbon filter is made from real carbon pellets (unlike foam sponge found in cheaper models), and is quite good at removing odours and toxic fumes from traffic. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend it.

Promised App does not function on supplied model Zero Pro. Unit is not WiFi capable
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 June 2020
Zero Pro unit arrived late ... and no notification it was left overnight outside our gate, luckily not stolen.Outer packaging was poor and badly fitting. Inner box slightly bruised but unit itself was not damaged. Inner packaging was good. The unit is clearly well made and quality appears good, and operates normally, but we have not had chance to assess its effectiveness so far. Most disappointing is there is an App which refers directly to this model - Zero Pro, but there is no means to connect to our internal WiFi and thus the full capability of the App. The App configuration requires one to press the WiFi button on the unit to make the pairing. This button does not exist .... it’s also not mentioned in the user manual. It begs the question are we being sold old models which do not have the WiFi facility . Very disappointed about this. When I read reviews prior to purchase other buyers suggested the App was easy and useful. What’s the truth? Does any body know?

If you suffer from COPD this product is a must!!!!!!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 March 2020
As a COPD sufferer, this product is a must! The sensitivity is brilliant. Have had a less expensive "air purifier" which was very good at extracting dust, but this us in a different league. It detected the fumes from nearby traffic & wood burners and increased the filtration rate accordingly. The air within my small flat has dramatically improved and my breathing has improved accordingly. Tied in with the knowledge that it also "zaps" viruses by neutralising them into harmless compounds is a bonus - especially under current circumstances. It doesn't connect to Wifi so you cannot use the app, but it makes up for it with build quality and efficiency. The adage of you get what you pay for is definitely true and if you have any form of respiratory problem I highly recommend.

    Health is wealth!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 March 2020
After constant research from website to website for 6months I finally bought this purifier.I have now had it for around 5months now. It is an excellent product, the auto function and the cheap replacement filters make a great combination.I used to wake up with a stuffy nose and a soar throat in the mornings but ever since I got this purifier, no more!!I can feel my lung capacity has improved too, from the results I have experienced during playing sports. There is no denying that it is expensive, but you have to decide, is your wealth more important or your health?

    I woke up fresh!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 June 2021
This is a wonderful device. We live in a dusty and heavy pollen area and suffering from asthma means air quality is of vital importance. I put a Winix ZERO S in the bedroom and a Winix ZERO Pro in the Hall. Once they had been turned on and settled down they both showed good air quality. However, when the heavy curtain between bedroom and changing room were pulled back, on came the orange light showing air quality had dropped. Curtains in the wash today! At night, the sleep mode is so quiet and the light dimming is particularly good. The next day there was a definite improvement in the general air quality. I am very pleased with the design a, operation and sensitivity of both machines. A very good investment. Thank you Winix!

    Not sure it does anything.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 June 2021
Honestly I don't really care about air quality that can only be measured by special tools but what I do care about is the amount of dust and how bad my hay fever is indoors. I was hoping this can help with these.Tried this in our living room, which forms practically a big open space with the rest of the house. Still below 90m2. Did not really see any difference, but hey it is a big space, so moved it into my office room which is 16m2, put it on turbo for half of the day, wiped everything clean and then let it do its job for a week on auto.My hay fever has not improved at all in the room (i spend most of my day there) and my computers mash filters (with 10 very low rpm fans) collected more dust then the "air purifier". After a week I cleaned the usual amount of dust of my table chair etc.Not sure what this is meant to do, but I am sure it is not suitable for my use case.
