- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 August 2019Very good filterThis is my latest filter in a long line of filters. Most of these are just overpriced fans with a filter in front and it's amazing how much they can charge for that. This is good, I opened it after 2 weeks and was amazed by the amount of dust it had gathered inside. The most annoying thing about this one is the stupid lights all over it, it's a pet hate of mine as to why manufacturers insist on putting lights all over things, especially when their potential location is in a bedroom. I've had to get the black tape out again to tape it all up. This one has a sleep mode where the series of lights are turned off and replaced with just one annoying light. The sleep mode can be set to auto, whereby it senses the light in the room and switches accordingly. Unfortunately, sleep mode also means that the fan is set to the lowest level. So I've gone with the black tape and a higher fan speed.Overall a good unit, overpriced and actually if you're after just a good filter without any frills https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B074FZLGZY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 the ProBreeze is a bargain (I have 2 of them also).
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 December 2019A great Filter System - but . . .First of all, the Winix Zero is an excellent product. We bought is because we suffer from smoke drift from our adjoined neighbours who are incessant smokers! The smoke somehow gets through the floor, the walls, whatever, when they are smoking! We will be getting another as soon as we can afford a second! Which brings me to my main complaint: the same product is about twice the price in the U.K. as it is in the USA! We paid the best part of £250 in the U.K., for a product that costs about $150 dollars in the USA. The same goes for the filters! If you can swallow the costs then this is a very effective air filter system.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 April 2020Air in the house is much cleanerThe Winix looks modern, easy to setup. Works really wellUnboxing – All of the filters were sealed in clear plastic covers. In the box you get a spare HEPA filter and 4 carbon filter sheets.Super user friendly. Powering up it plays a little tune, then defaults to auto mode.Automode decides what fan speed to run4 speeds, 1 is very quiet, the loudness increases to around 51dB at full power which does sound like a small jet engine. The long bar on the front shows the current air quality, Blue is good, Amber is dirty, red is bad.I have used the Winix for several days, has it made a difference to the air quality in the house ?Yes, I have a Springer Spaniel, noticed a considerable difference in dust particles in the air. Before the air filter I noticed lots of dust and particles in the air, you could see them as light came in through the windows. Now with the air filter they are mostly gone.In the office there is alot less dust on the computer monitors.Night ModeIt is super quiet in night mode, even light sleepers will not be affected by the noise.I really am considering buying another one so I can have one in the office and the other in the bedroom or sitting room.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 June 2020easy, visible by sensor, work for hayfever. love it!highly recommended.I bought winnix as this is korean company. As I know korean has air purified in every single house as they are care about air quiality. I expected this must have functions I need.my boy has hay fever and it is geting worst so I was seeking functional air purify..it has extra carbone and main filter inside of package which will save another 6 month . Easy to use and Love the sensor to check the air condition in the space which is really working good. It change strength of wind and go to sleep mode at night time about 7 to 8pm. it covers mainly living room but also my dining and kitchen. When I cooked in kitchen winnix gets mad and turn red for stonger wind. the light show blue ,oragne ,red( orange and red are quite similar).another extra advantage is this cooling air like air conditioner. so We turned stronger manually on these hot weather( closed area). with the money you pay for ,you get air purify with extra filter and also helpful to cool off the hot weather.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 May 2020Didn't come with replacement filter set as advertisedI like the unit as it seems to be doing exactly what it is supposed to do. The only problem is it didn't come with extra free filter set as advertised and the seller wasn't exactly good at replying to messages. The only option you have is to return the product for a refund which is a hassle since u only want to get the replacement filters which could easily be sent out to the customer by the seller.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 May 2020How did I live without it?How could we live without it?I suffer from dust allergy and my partner has crazy hay fever. All symptoms reduced significantly as soon as this magic helper cleared our air for an hour or so.Always take it to the bedroom for the night, then I don’t need to open the window and suffer from either drafts or noise yet enjoy the feeling of nice fresh air.Seriously thinking about one or two more for other parts of the house and for my dad who suffers from crazy strong pollen allergies. If you switch it on and leave a room for a bit on entering it again the contrat in the quality is striking.Worth every penny.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 July 2021Good product but rattling noise after 2 weeks, the unit starts to male rattling noise. It sounds like some loose part from the motor. And it is noisy even at the lowest setting. So unfortunately i cant use it as i intended to use it in bedroom as well. I found similar issue on the web. So it could be a product defect unfortunately.Overall, in terms of purifying the air, i believe it is one of the best product. The part failed for me is the rattling noise after 2 weeks and so i have to return it
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 May 2021Buy it . Your body will Thankyou for it!Early days yet. Bought this for possible mold allergy. It works good. I have had the smaller levoit models before and to be frank they are a waste of money. A good air purifier will blow out cooler fresh air. Sometimes the levoit would blow out warmer or hot air and this did not make a difference to my health.Definitely worth the extra money on this. Very powerful and can handle larger rooms. I have ope plan living room connecting to stairs. Also cleans out the hallway connecting no problem. It packs a punch. Better to overcompensate than under compensate. Trust me. Useful modes and well built. Very economical too. Think it adds less than £4 a month running at highest speed 24 hrs a day according to a YouTube video I saw.Now you may read one or two reviews on here about dust going into the machine. They didn’t fit the pre filter properly that’s all. So watch a YouTube video to get that fit right! It clicks into place and should be flush. Real easy to fit but you might put it wrong way round leaving a big gap on the edges! For a mid range air purifier it’s a good buy. Don’t hesitate.Only bug ear the remote control is not added in this box. Maybe that’s why it’s £20 off.Remember cool breezy air means the air purifier doing the job.Update after 3 weeks usage:Don’t hesitate buy this! It’s robust and reliable. Another league to cheaper models. After use of having the plasma wave on or off (kills airborne bacteria) I have to say it really does make a difference. And I’ve not noticed any adverse effects from it. The ones that use ionisers are potentially hazardous to health as they create ozone. The previous wo is model used ionisation but this doesn’t so your ok in my opinion.I sleep with it on the second setting which is quiet and still cleans the air in a small bedroom sufficiently.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 May 2020Expensive but worth the money!I bought many other cheap ones on the market before but wasn’t so sure about the quality! After searching many times, read many reviews on youtube or webs, I decided to buy this one.I was so nervous at first as it cost more than others and still considering between other brands with same price range but gave it ago as if something happened, I can return the item on Prime delivery.I changed my mind right after plug the item in as it worked amazing and silently even my daughter didn’t notice it, bigger but smarter than the Dyson that we are using at the moment.Extra filters included in the box too and they are quite cheap, available anytime in the market (peace of mind as I’m so worry about the filters if couldn’t be found anywhere to buy or extremely expensive)The overall looking is quite good, neat, clean and easy to remove stains.I didn’t notice the difference before and after but the air seemed to be cleaner and my onion plants are growing quickly (before I bought this air purifier, some of them were died and others were growing slowly, I was never succeeded on this but now all of the onions that I want to grow are thrilling!!!)
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 March 2021Great cost-benefitI've researched a lot of different brands and models and opted for this one, as it seemed to come from a reliable brand (its certified by allergy uk), and be great cost-benefit. It's potent enough to purify my lounge are which is 36 sqm, but I mostly use it in my bedroom while sleeping, and been really noticing a difference in air quality. I sleep better and wake up with my nose less stuffed. It also looks good and is not too bulky, so easy to move around from room to room, and the noise level is reasonable. My only complaint is that the sleep mode only works in its lowest speed, and that if you're on auto-mode, there's a light sensor that detects if its dark and automatically switches to sleep mode, so if you want to sleep with the purifier working on a higher speed, you need to leave it on manual mode and put up with the light in the room. Doesn't bother me too much because I sleep with a mask on, but it wpuld be great if you could select its speed while still leaving it on sleeps mode with the lights off. But overall a great purchase, does what its supposed to.
