I have experienced the beauty of this brand and their very similar model in Japan for 2 weeks, sharing a room with 15 or more people. The air was always fresh, no odours and I have wanted to buy one myself. The design is very functional, the unit is very sleek and compact, lightweight and very quiet on auto mode. Sharp states in their manual that the filters should last 10 years under normal household use provided care instructions are followed. I did look at the Philips model as well which sadly seemed to be bulky but more worryingly, required filter purchases which were pricey according to the reviews. So I chose SHARP and bought the 3 year Amazon warranty with it for peace of mind. I hope my unit lasts. So far, I am happy with it and the air does "feel" crisp and cleaner. There are cheaper air purifiers on the market but I trust the brand SHARP and I have experienced the device for 2 weeks as per my opening remarks so hence my purchase.

Sharp products have been around for a very long time and are well made and very reliable.

- Is this made in china?Yes it is made in China but it is working well. We use this for our office and it seems to clean and filter the air well.
- Whwew can you buy replacement filters for it on the internet?I guess you can. There is a sticker , on one side, with the list of the names of 3 filters in case you need to replace them.
- How big is a 48 sqm room? height feet lengh? does the plasmacluster make white walls dirty like ironisers do?No, it will not make your white walls, ceiling dirty. 48sqm room, for example, is around 7m -1 wall long by 7m wide another wall length, or 6x9m
